1.8 TRILLION MASKS PROVEN USELESS but proven to work – to generate profits and pollution for corrupt politicians (Now.. about that Giant Syringe in the Room)
From an update to a 2020 study here:
“Objectives
To assess the effectiveness of physical interventions to interrupt or reduce the spread of acute respiratory viruses.”
Bottom line:
“The pooled results of RCTs did not show a clear reduction in respiratory viral infection with the use of medical/surgical masks. There were no clear differences between the use of medical/surgical masks compared with N95/P2 respirators in healthcare workers when used in routine care to reduce respiratory viral infection.”
Note that this study is a CONFIRMATION of what was known at the outset of the pandemic.
Compare that to the outright lies and fabrications told by the WHO
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19): Masks (who.int)
“Wearing a mask reduces the spread of respiratory illnesses within the community by reducing the number of infectious particles that may be inhaled or exhaled.”
Bald-faced lie – known to be a lie when the statement was made and still on the WHO website.
There has been no benefit from masks, but there has been a huge cost in terms of pollution and profits for the mask manufacturers and vendors.
Consider that, allowing for a drop-off in the last 3 months, around 10 masks a month have been worn by at least 5 billion people for 3 years.
5 billion masks times (10 per month x 12 months a year) 120 a year for 3 years
1.8 TRILLION MASKS.
Each mask costs around a dollar each. 1.8 trillion bucks = 600 billion bucks a year – global GDP is around 80 trillion – so around 0.75% per annum of global GDP has been wasted. Tax takes for most countries are around 40% of GDP – so almost 2% of the annual taxes of most countries has been wasted on useless face nappies.
Now, consider the environmental costs of manufacturing 1.8 trillion masks. How many trees chopped down to make the carboard boxes the masks come in – how many trees chopped down for the paper wrapping for each mask, or for the ear ties. How many gallons of oil to make the plastic on the face of the package.
This does not even begin to address the harms from re-breathing exhaled waste air trapped in the mask – we know that CO2 levels are a pet “chicken little” dog whistle for the “climate change cult”. CO2 levels can be doubled and tripled amongst mask wearers even before other toxins trapped and rebreathed are taken into account. And what about the effectiveness of masks when the masks become damp from humidity or wet from rain or when the masks trap traffic pollution from streets and roads?
Now let’s consider the environmental impact of the disposal of 1.8 trillion masks.
Each mask is approximately a 4 inch by 4 inch square. Laying these end to end – 3 masks per foot, 5,280 feet per mile = 15,840 masks per mile = 113.6 million miles of 1.8 trillion useless masks.
Each mask weighs around 4 grams – 1.8 trillion masks = 72,000 metric tonnes of masks.
For perspective, the Earth is around 25,000 miles – enough useless masks to go round the Earth more than 4,500 times.
Where did all these masks go? How much has been spent on collecting and disposing (how much recycling is there of used and polluted masks?)
These masks are not bio-degradable – else people would be breathing in the material whilst wearing them. How many have entered the eco-systems around inland waterways and oceans?1% (18 billion masks) - 1%, 3% a quarter of them?
There have been AT LEAST the same number of wet-wipes used as masks, probably double. Probably the same costs, but wet-wipes degrade into toxic micro-plastics. Similar calculations can be done for the manufacture and disposal of (useless) test kits and toxic injections plus their packaging. To which can added the cost of administrative staff and computer resources.
All up an exercise in wilful, pre-meditated and harmful corruption to exercise state control and make money for corrupt politicians and health regulators – who either got up front payments or “political” or other contributions to feather their rank nests (full of their own fecal matter).
This topic was one of my first and referenced this paper here:
““Ingestion of microplastics poses a further threat to human health; however, it has not been quantified. The presence of microplastics in human feces has been confirmed (Schwabl et al. 2019), and research showed that up to 52,000 microplastics can be ingested by US citizens every year (Cox et al. 2019). A recent study carried by Ragusa et al. (2021) reported that microplastic particles were found in all placental portions, indicating that microplastics have potential threat to the fetal health.”
Not just the spike protein has been unleashed on humanity – other tiny threats are accumulating.
Now, given that the effectiveness and safety of masks was known before they were forced onto the general public for no good reason.
Here is one Mr Big, who made hay whilst the sun shone on his buddies in China who had no prior experience in the bulk manufacture of masks.
From PBS, no less California Gov. Newsom’s billion-dollar mask deal hits snag | PBS NewsHour
“Health May 6, 2020 7:45 PM EST
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Millions of protective masks that were to arrive in California this week as part of the state’s nearly $1 billion deal with a Chinese company have been delayed, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday.
The governor said the N95 masks made by BYD, an electric vehicle manufacturer with a California manufacturing plant, were stalled in the federal certification process. He did not explain further, and his office did not respond to a request for more information.”
You can find examples of the “Newsom effect” all over the world – most of which is NOT published by the Trusted News Initiative of course, because it ad its collaborators prefer the lies told by the WHO.
Back to the study:
“We identified 78 relevant studies. They took place in low‐, middle‐, and high‐income countries worldwide: in hospitals, schools, homes, offices, childcare centres, and communities during non‐epidemic influenza periods, the global H1N1 influenza pandemic in 2009, epidemic influenza seasons up to 2016, and during the COVID‐19 pandemic.”
“Main results
We included 11 new RCTs and cluster‐RCTs (610,872 participants) in this update, bringing the total number of RCTs to 78. Six of the new trials were conducted during the COVID‐19 pandemic; two from Mexico, and one each from Denmark, Bangladesh, England, and Norway.”
“Medical/surgical masks compared to no masks ..
Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza/SARS‐CoV‐2 compared to not wearing masks”
“N95/P2 respirators compared to medical/surgical masks ..
The use of a N95/P2 respirators compared to medical/surgical masks probably makes little or no difference for the objective and more precise outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza infection”
“Hand hygiene compared to control
In absolute terms this benefit would result in a reduction from 380 events per 1000 people to 327 per 1000 people ..
“..strictly defined outcomes of ILI and laboratory‐confirmed influenza .. the intervention made little or no difference.”
“Pooled data showed that hand hygiene may be beneficial with an 11% relative reduction of respiratory illness .. In absolute terms this benefit would result in a reduction from 200 events per 1000 people to 178 per 1000 people..”
“..any masking intervention studies should focus on measuring not only benefits but also adherence, harms, and risk compensation if the latter may lead to a lower protective effect. In addition, although the use of medical/surgical masks versus N95 respirators demonstrates no differences in clinical effectiveness to date, their use needs to be further studied within the context of a well‐designed RCT in the setting of COVID‐19, and with concomitant measurement of harms, which to date have been poorly studied. The recently published Loeb RCT conducted over a prolonged course in the current pandemic has provided the only evidence to date in this area (Loeb 2022).”

I appreciate that the equivalent of 27 cents a day for a $100 a year subscription is an inconvenience - I drink a lot of coffee – if you like my “stuff” but don’t want to pay for a subscription you can buy me a cup to show (any!) appreciation here: https://ko-fi.com/peterhalligan
But it was the plastic straws. Had to deal with the straws. O.o
We knew this from the beginning, but were forced to comply. Good to see some solid data. Thanks! 🙏
