60 years after the Cuban Missile Crisis we now have the possibility of a Ukraine missile crisis
Check out this article:
This Is Actually Terrifying - The Daily Reckoning
“Russia is crushing the much-anticipated Ukrainian offensive and is either advancing or holding the line in other sectors.”
“There’s the possibility that an increasingly desperate Ukraine could try to stage a “false flag” attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) in the Kherson region and blame it on Russia.
Both Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and the head of Ukrainian intelligence services have warned recently about a possible Russian attack on the plant.
In other words, they could be putting the conditions in place for a false flag attack.”
Where and how? By blowing up a nuclear power plant with prevailing winds contaminating NATO countries and classifying that as a nuclear attack on NATO.
“Ukraine (under direction of the U.S. and with U.S. help) could send a commando team to the facility, plant heavy explosives and then detonate them in a way intended to cause a partial meltdown and release of radiation.
Prevailing winds would carry the radiation in the direction of Romania, Poland and Slovakia, all of whom are members of NATO.”
Well, shit
Imagine if Russia supplied nuclear weapons and a 100 billion of military aid to Mexico? Would the US invade Mexico in this eventuality? You bet your ass! Russia is not permitted to do likewise.
60 years ago we had the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Cuban Missile Crisis - Wikipedia
John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev came to an “agreement”. Could this “agreement” happen today? The boot is on the other foot - complete role reversal of antagonist and protagonist.
The “Ukraine Missile Crisis” is potentially upon us.
The lengths that US neo-cons will go to - in support of a Ukrainian president equally adept at playing a piano with his genitalia as milking the murderous neo-cons of US tax payer money to fund “forever wars”- is without limit.
Gone are the days when if a politician was opposed to another countries belligerence, he/she/it was welcome to go fight, on the ground in that country, WITHOUT TAX PAYER FUNDING FOR HIS CRUSADE for his personal beliefs.
James Rickards refers to this paper by Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute three weeks ago:
“Even as Ukrainian forces defied the U.S. intelligence estimate, first blunting and then rolling back the Russian Army, fear of how Russian President Vladimir Putin might react led Washington to restrict assistance that could enable Ukraine to quicken its counterassault and save tens of thousands of lives.”
Defied the US intel estimate? How do you “defy an estimate”? Blunting and rolling back? Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but Russian and Belarus forces surround Kiev, pulled back when a peace deal looked like being agreed and then the peace plan was scuppered by Boris Johnson and the US.
Just in case you need reminding of the reality of the situation, here is an estimate of US military assistance to Ukraine – SO FAR.
U.S. Support for Ukraine Aid Starts to Fray After Debt Limit Deal - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
“Since the Russian invasion, Congress has extended military and humanitarian assistance to Kyiv through a series of emergency spending measures totaling more than $100 billion. “
Three months prior it was 80 billion bucks as broken down by the Kiel Institute. Around 45 billion of the 80 billion was military assistance. Any bets on how much is still in Ukraine hands and taking an active part? I would guess that 75% has been degraded or sold to/captured by the Russians.
Wikipedia has its version of what has been supplied from around the world here:

And here is the current state of the front lines.
Now, I have no particular expertise in modern warfare, but, if conventional nukes are not used, if I were Russia, I would be meticulously planning to capture Odessa and link up with Transnistria. I would also be sending the Wagner group to Belarus to attack Ukraine from the North. Or at least threaten to do so. (Belarus is a nuclear power after Russia positioned some nukes there - out of interest, Minsk is 329 miles from Kiev).
So, get your iodine ready, clean out the nuke bunker, the neo-cons, or is that neo-MAD proponents - as in, they WANT a nuclear war starting in Ukraine – are stirring the pot.
