A look at John Hopkins University "committed grants" from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
After reading this article from Igor Chudov about the antics of “the fraudulent professor” and a reference to over a billion bucks directed to the John Hopkins University (JHU) from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), I thought I would sniff around for some more context.
Here’s what JHU classify as “fun facts”:
JHM-Fast-Facts.pdf (hopkinsmedicine.org)
And the reference to the fraudulent professor:
“Johns Hopkins professor Gregg Semenza, winner of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, joins 21 other current or former school of medicine scientists as Nobel laureates”.
I wonder how much fraud was not spotted amongst those 21 other laureates? Probably nnen, I guess.
Anyway, there are no accusations of any wrong-doing in the below, just observations and a few questions.
There is a link on this web site that allows you to download the “committed grants “to JHU. You can play with the data in Microsoft Excel/Access to your hearts content.

By the way, Bloomberg donated 1.8 billion to JHU – see here.
Michael Bloomberg makes $1.8 billion donation to Johns Hopkins University - ABC News (go.com)
No refunds for fraudulent research or returns of Nobel Prizes! Seems like something an auditor should pick up, right?
Back to JHU. Given that money paid by the BMGF tends to come with “strings attached” – as with BMGF funds to the WHO – I downloaded the 276 BMGF “committed grants” to JHU and they do indeed sum to over a billion bucks, going all the way back to April 1997 (there is an embedded link called “DOWNLOAD” on the “Committed Grants” web page above).
I imagine that the WHO has an entire division handling the direct research from the BMGF.
Here are a few bits of data, one showing the direction and size of some of that research and the other some detail on the largest “committed grants”. Data is up to 15 May 2023.
Remember this is NOT the BMGF, “BMGF Trust” or “BMGF Institute” spending – it is spending by JHU from a billion bucks of grants JHU received from BMGF.
The money laundering and anti-terrorist regulations and a host of compliance requirements must give JHU nightmares – especially where it operates overseas, not just in the US.
By major project category (90% of the billion bucks):
By the biggest individual grant spend:
Interesting stuff! Who knew it was worth spending 17 million bucks on a trial to see if circumcising men would prevent HIV and STD’s in women in Uganda?
Of course, every last cent is properly accounted for to make sure project spending is not a front for, say, money laundering or payments to local politicians. An audit would spot that, right?
Nice that the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute got 40 million to expand “Population and Reproductive Health to strengthen leadership and institutions in developing countries” – seems a bit circular, but, hey, “round and round it goes, where it stops, no-one knows!”
There’s a bunch of interesting detail in the different projects for those interested in digging deeper.
My favourite has to be this one:
“to train U.S. journalists in covering global health and development issues by providing fellowships and reporting opportunities for Gatekeeper Editors to travel to under-reported international locations”
The odd 1.9 million bucks in 2007 – about an eighth of the 15.3 million bucks total spend “Global Health and Development Public Awareness and Analysis” category.
Just one grant of 6.5 million within that 15.3 million total spend on “Global Health and Development Public Awareness and Analysis” is described as “This grant will strengthen institutional capacity (policy dialogue, planning and research) on PHC in 5 states of India (UP, Bihar + 3 TBD), with particular emphasis on Health and Wellness Centers, and PHC contracting.”
“Policy dialogue, planning and research” – that’s a lot of talking, presumably, above and beyond the capacity of the Indian States and the Indian government. I wonder how much this improved outcomes In the Health and Wellness Centers?
So, that’s some contextual data around JHU’s directed funding by the BMGF.
Fun facts
Looks like MetaBiota (of Ukraine biolab fame) is a supplier of data to JHU?

Here’s a bit more on that angle:

EcoHealth Alliance and the BMGF?

“To support India's Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying for establishment of National One Health Platform”

Looks like it might be worth taking a look at the BMGF – and he link with the Emeritus Trustee of the BMGF - Mr Buffett!
Onwards!
Please upgrade to paid, or donate a coffee (I drink a lot of coffee) - “God Bless You!” if you can’t or don’t want to contribute. Coffee donations here: https://ko-fi.com/peterhalligan - Buying just one Ko-Fi a week for $3 is 50 bucks more than an annual $100 subscription!
Thanks PH. Join me in applying for these wonderful grants!
Peter,
For Your Readers,
Here’s a thought that you are welcomed to:
Imagine for a moment that you did not synthesize “Controlled” with “Opposition”.
Yes you can try this at home.
Begin by examining “Controlled”.
Is Dr. Robert Malone Controlled ?
Absolutely.
As, with further examination, you are likely to observe the same of Breggin, Cole, Kory, McCullough, et al.
Each controlled by the worst mis-education a human could experience.
It’s only a matter of degree.
Start there. That’s the work, leading them while they kick and scream.
Succeed at that long enough, and you will see that you may very well be a leader. And in that, where to throw your punches.
It’s not hard. Actually yeah it is.
