Not everyone can be right, right?

The lunacy of facial decorations was outlined by a PhD two years ago here:

Masks Don’t Work: A Review of Science Relevant to COVID-19 Social Policy | River Cities' Reader (rcreader.com)

“Masks and respirators do not work.

There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, which all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses, or respiratory illnesses believed to be transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles.”

In short, viral particles are many times smaller than the holed in the masks and you need to wear scuba gear or not breathe to avoid viral infection.

This fun fact has been recognised by Singapore (population 5 million) and its state airline Singapore Airlines.

What Is It That Singapore Knows About Masks That Many Countries Fail To Admit? - CD Media (creativedestructionmedia.com)

From the article:

“As of August 29, Singapore Airlines will no longer require face masks to be worn on all flights, in line with an easing restrictions by the city-state’s government.”

““No masks need to be worn on Singapore Airlines flights to and from the USA, the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Thailand and New Zealand, for example.

Masks will still be required on Singapore Airlines flights to Australia, but not from Australia. Australian are still fighting about masks.

For now, masks are required on flights to and from Canada, Germany, India, South Korea, Spain, Malaysia, among others.

Masks will be required only on public transport and health care facilities like hospitals and nursing homes in Singapore, but not at indoors or public venues such as shopping malls, hotels and restaurants.”

The different requirements reflect a difference in the quality and politics of different countries. Some regulators are more equal than others!
