An update on the dismantling of cameras watching London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) – 1,000 have been rendered in operative – plus – mayor complains that protests in London cause “budget hole"

Maybe the police should look into it!

There are over 60,000 cameras looking over the streets of London, not all are ULEZ cameras, but, if it takes one person to check on twenty cameras, that’s over 3,000 people tasked with looking over the streets, rather than patrolling them. Plus all the staff involved with enforcing “hate speech” on social media etc.

How much safer would London’s streets be with this boost to “officers on the beat”? Well, let’s leave that aside for now and take a look at the decommissioning of just the ULEZ cameras.

London’s parks and tree-lined gardened suburbs do not have an air quality problem. Those “angry residents” object to paying for the commuters whose emissions are only a problem in “sink holes” where the air cannot circulate. Those areas MIGHT warrant a fee for usage, but those people in 90% of suburbs that do not commute DO NOT.

Is there a cost for policing “protests” – particularly those Hamas protests supported by the mayor? Yes of course. How much of the 240 million extra demanded was spent on the protests, above and beyond protests in past years? Probably close to zero. Protests are a feature, not a bug, for London in a tradition that goes back a century.

How much of the budget hole is down to enforcing the totalitarian measures of schemes like ULEZ, rather than addressing crime? More than all of the 240 million.

What is the result of policies of the Cult of Moloch? Overthrow of the government. Not a bad thing, given the impotence of the Conservative party and its remorseless swing to the left of centre. Problem is, though the incoming Labour party has swung a smidgeon to the right, it is still exhibiting all the features of the incompetent and lunatic left.

The Tories must be resigned to getting their butts well and truly kicked in a general election next year. The country will pay for voting the Tories out and be left with even bigger headaches caused by the incompetent and lunatic Labour left.
