The Biden administration issued a new rule Thursday to protect federal workers from being fired at whim.

There is the spin. Protect the jobs of apparatchiks of the State by giving them tenure, just like SCTUS and university professors.

Here’s more spin – completely deflecting from the issue of any wish to change the strategic direction of the bureaucracy.

(I hope Trump creates a new department called “talent pool” and puts half the worst performing bureaucrats in it, to be used at the ground zero to help with a national emergency).

“This final rule honors our 2.2 million career civil servants, helping ensure that people are hired and fired based on merit and that they can carry out their duties based on their expertise and not political loyalty,” Kiran Ahuja, the director of the Office of Personnel Management, said in a press release.”

If ONLY people earned the right to keep their jobs based on merit and one of the benchmarks was feedback from the public!

It is of course, just in case Trump is not sentenced to four years in jail and immediately frogmarched I the same jail that suicided Jeffrey Epstein!
