Australia’s TGA allows the off label use of Ivermectin – three years too late

New restrictions on prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19 | Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)

“From 1 June 2023, prescribing of oral ivermectin for ‘off-label’ uses will no longer be limited to specialists such as dermatologists, gastroenterologists and infectious diseases specialists.

In its final decision published today, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has removed the restriction through its scheduling in the Poisons Standard because there is sufficient evidence that the safety risks to individuals and public health is low when prescribed by a general practitioner in the current health climate.”

New restrictions on prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19 | Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)

“Today, the TGA, acting on the advice of the Advisory Committee for Medicines Scheduling, has placed new restrictions on the prescribing of oral ivermectin. General practitioners are now only able to prescribe ivermectin for TGA-approved conditions (indications) - scabies and certain parasitic infections. Certain specialists including infectious disease physicians, dermatologists, gastroenterologists and hepatologists (liver disease specialists) will be permitted to prescribe ivermectin for other unapproved indications if they believe it is appropriate for a particular patient.”

What exactly changed since 10 September 2021 and the 18 months prior?

Not much apparently. The TGA continues to deny any beneficial effects despite there being more evidence of prophylactic and early to mid-stage efficacy than for the toxic C19 mRNA injections:

“However, the TGA does not endorse off-label prescribing of ivermectin for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19.

A large number of clinical studies have demonstrated ivermectin does not improve outcomes in patients with COVID-19. The National Covid Evidence Taskforce (NCET) and many similar bodies around the world, including the World Health Organization, strongly advises against the use of ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.”

Thank heaven for small mercies – even when the pandemic is over and many have died because of the sheer bloody mindedness and corruption of health regulators.

By the way, where is Pierre Kory’s book “The War on Ivermectin” – that was due last October? Has it been withdrawn from publication or perhaps overtaken by events such as IVM is ineffective at treating or preventing blood clots or myocarditis/infertility/brain fog etc?
