Here is the “assault” of the police officer:
The man in the hat is the reporter - looking at the fast disappearing politician and not ath the burly police officer (who has his back to the camera).
Did you see the assault by the reporter on the police officer?
Police officer says “You are under arrest for assaulting a police officer”.
Could this be any more ridiculous? Why not just say to the reporter “your manner is threatening to the Deputy Prime Minister” and keep him way from her, then make sure the reporter keeps his distance after giving him that warning?
In what is true everywhere these days, amongst politicians that have brutalized their electors, reporters in Canada are clearly not allowed to approach and ask questions in close proximity to politicians – or rather, one human being cannot approach another human being to ask a question – because a burly police officer will bump into one of the human beings and claim “assault!”.
Freeland was never in any physical danger, she was simply being protected from harassment - well if “harassment” = asking questions of a representative politicians.
Politcians consider themselves superior to ordinary human beings. They are not. They are oridinary human beings who have been given TEMPORARY responsibility for looking out for the interests of their electors.
