Couple of bullet points – one, the First Amendment is intended to counter government tyranny and lies ad so enable freedom and democracy to prevail– and two, a Texas pension fund sacks BlackRock
The pension fund case first, from here:
Texas to BlackRock: Take Your Money and Shove It (substack.com)
“The reason for this move is two-fold:
The PSF derives the vast preponderance of its funds - more than $1 billion annually - from oil and gas revenues related to mineral rights bequeathed to it by the State of Texas in the West Texas Permian Basin.
The 2021 session of the Texas Legislature passed a law, signed by Gov. Greg Abbott, ordering the Texas Comptroller’s office to identify any ESG investment companies who, like BlackRock, discriminate against funding oil and gas projects, as Fink and his compatriots have done consistently over the last 15 years and more. Any Texas-run fund then has a legal obligation to terminate any and all investments with such firms.”
I will remind everyone that if they have a 401k plan, the chances are that BlackRock manages some of it and also that BlackRock, on behalf of you, invests in Pfizer ad Moderna. Think about that! The pension fund can direct ay fund manager, like BlackRock or any other manager, to manage its investments in a certain way via an investment management agreement with relevant terms and conditions ,The pension fund needs to bear in mind that it must operate in line with a Trust Deed and cannot jeopardize the possible returns to the pension fund by its actions.
Now the second point.
Some of the questions asked by the Supreme Court justices point to a disastrous outcome because they miss the main points.
As I see it, the US justice system was founded to provide a rule of government by, with and for the people that rebelled against a tyranny of big government – acknowledging that all government is corruptible and needs to be held in check by its people. The people had to be allowed to talk about government policies without the interference of government as they formed their opinions about government actions.
Yu can tell a lot abut people by the quality of their questions. Chief Justice Roberts and Ketanji “I can’t define what a woman is” Jackson asked questions that indicate that they think the government never makes mistakes and is beyond challenge.
It is apparent that, beyond the censorship around social media companies, the Federal government lied repeatedly and propagated views that had no basis in science, medicine, ethics r morality. The quality of the questions indicates that these justices are just fie with that. These justices need to consider how many people were killed by government and government health agency measures. Murder, negligent homicide and battery assault charges will be brought against the officials, the Federal government, the health agencies and big pharma. Should the justices proceed with their apparent stance that “the government can do no wrong” – especially in a fake emergency – they will be effectively sanctioning democide.
Declaration: I believe that taxation is theft and must be as small as possible AND that the bigger the government. the bigger the lies, inefficiencies and corruption.
Those are my thoughts!

Wish more states would take similar positive action, instead of simply watching what Texas is doing.
