Environmentalists want to “save the planet” by – drum roll – destroying the environment with wind and solar
The lunatics in charge of the asylum are going full tilt with plans for renewable energy.
For context, here is what the MSM and the UN apparatchiks will not tell you.
From here:
“There has been no rise in global temperatures from July 2015 to March 2023.
This fact-based claim draws on satellite readings from the University of Alabama in Huntsville that measure temperatures in the troposphere (image below), a much more accurate method of keeping score than the shoddy records produced by ground-based weather stations.”
You won’t find any reference to this Principia Scientifica article in the first 500 pages of a search – you will find lots of “fact check false” flags though.
Instead, you will find lies, damned lies and statistics dutifully masticated by the MSM taken from here:
“The 3,000-plus-page report from 234 scientists said warming is already accelerating sea level rise and worsening extremes such as heat waves, droughts, floods and storms. Tropical cyclones are getting stronger and wetter, while Arctic sea ice is dwindling in the summer and permafrost is thawing. All of these trends will get worse, the report said.”
Sounds impressive, right? But these are outright lies. Watch this to see how big: My Gift To Climate Alarmists - YouTube
I posted this article yesterday.
Which had these snippets extracted from here:
“An onshore wind plant needs nine times more mineral resources than an equivalent gas-fired power plant.” .. “A single wind turbine generally contains 500 kilograms of nickel. That nickel requires 100 tonnes of steelmaking coal to be refined. And every crystalline silicon solar panel contains 20 grams of silver paste. It takes 80 metric tons of silver to generate approximately a gigawatt of solar power. (In power terms that’s equivalent to 9,000 Nissan Leafs.”
In case you are wondering, this is what nickel and cobalt mining looks like:
Not in my back yard - NIMBY, right?

Executive summary – The Role of Critical Minerals in Clean Energy Transitions – Analysis - IEA
We have this:
All these minerals have to come from somewhere – I wonder what the impact on the earth will be?
Anyway, back to the point.
The roll-out of “renewable energy” solar panels and wind turbines is an environmental disaster from start to finish. In order to meet the goals of replacing hydrocarbon energy, there are few “obstacles” to overcome once the earth is raped for its minerals.

The U.S. Needs To Double The Size Of Its Energy Grid | OilPrice.com
“Building sufficient wind and solar farms to power the clean energy transition will require overcoming three major hurdles: finding enough land at an affordable price, building up the power grid to support the influx of electricity, and fixing the archaic and inefficient permitting process that governs these processes.”
“Mass-scale solar and wind farms require a whole lot of land, which means that these projects are increasingly pushing into rural areas where they often are not wanted. “Utility-scale solar and wind farms require at least ten times as much space per unit of power as coal- or natural gas–fired power plants, including the land used to produce and transport the fossil fuels,” McKinsey recently reported.”
“To meet these needs, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, the country will need 47,300 gigawatt-miles of new power lines by 2035. That represents a 57% expansion of the existing grid. Meeting that goal will require a two-fold increase in the current rate of construction.”
From here: Materials Used for Transmission Line Conductor | Electrical4U
Materials use for transmission lines are listed below-
Copper, Aluminum, Cadmium – Copper alloys, Phosphor bronze, Galvanized steel, Steel core copper, Steel core aluminum
Where are all these materials going to come from? NIMBY!!!!
From this paper:
We have this little nugget for a study of the EU, India and Japan/South Korea regions:
“In the three regions, a large part of the total built-up area (urban and solar land) will consist of solar PV panels or CSP heliostats by 2050 if at least half of the produced electricity comes from solar power. Land for solar would amount to over 50% of the current EU urban land, over 85% for India, and over 75% in Japan and South-Korea. From a different perspective, a significant part of the sunlight captured for commercial use would be used for electricity generation instead of growing crops, especially in Japan and South-Korea (29–39%) and the EU (8–10%).”
Urban land = cities. Hmm.
I for one am not enamoured of the prospect for thousands more transmission lines, millions of acres of solar panels (obsolete in 10 years) and wind turbines (shelf life of 5 years and obsolete at that time?).
And the impact on flora and fauna? Well, probably only snakes and insects can make a living under solar panels.
Here’s a link to questions asked about wind power:
(Page 68) “Wind turbines cause fatalities of birds and bats through collision, most likely with the turbine blades. Species differ in their vulnerability to collision, in the likelihood that fatalities will have large-scale cumulative impacts on biotic communities, and in the extent to which their fatalities are discovered and publicized.”
For some reason, bees and honey are not mentioned.
I am sure there is a large and mounting number of studies that have more detail about the harms inflicted. Suffice to say, removing millions of acres of land in order to pant hideous looking windmills and solar panels will not be a positive for flora and fauna, neither will erecting millions of miles of power lines supported by towers.
Pursuing the goals of the UN IPCC using wind and solar is an environmental crime against the planet.
Quite frankly the climate chicken littles and WHO quacks are looking more and more like sophomores looking for minimum grades every day.
Onwards!

I don't know what planet you are living on but the extremes of drought, heat, cold, floods, etc. are affecting most areas I know of. Deforestation and dams (over 50% of Earth's water has been restricted) are causing major Earth extremes. Species are going extinct daily and human development and extraction continue to take its toll.
I was a salesman presenting solar heating for a time and will tell you without reservation the liberals who push renewable energy DO NOT BUY THEM.
The majority of sales were to conservatives who wanted to lower heat bills (and take back some tax through incentives).
