Trump says DOJ told him he is a target in Jan. 6 probe, must report to grand jury | Just The News
“Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he was informed by the Justice Department that he is a target of the Jan. 6 Grand Jury probe and he must report to the jury this week.
"Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden's DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and indictment," Trump wrote.”
Rhis reminds me of a malicious relative buying a child of the family he hates a drum kit.
Malice and spite to make sure no possible avenue remains to prevent a policital opponent from winning.
.. “frivolous” means lacking a legal basis or legal merit; a matter that has little prospect of success; not serious, not reasonably purposeful;

Not an endorsement of this law firm, just the sentiment:
https://www.haslettlaw.com/blog/2013/november/-you-may-beat-the-rap-but-you-cant-beat-the-ride/
"Some police have a common saying when they are putting someone in handcuffs and placing them (sometimes not so gently) in the back of their cruiser: "You may beat the rap, but you can't beat the ride.""
The advice in the law blog is sound: don't speak to police, prosecutors, never, ever, ever, never. Ever. Never. Even when you know you're innocent. Never speak to police or prosecutors. Never.
Now, if you're a public figure with a public stage you may do what Lois Lerner did:
https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2013/05/lerner-gowdy-waive-right-5th-amendment-irs.html
"if made to appear before the House Oversight Committee this morning, she would invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to answer questions. Lerner was forced to appear anyway, and after reading an opening statement, in which she insisted that she had done nothing wrong, she informed Chairman Darrell Issa that, as promised, she would plead the Fifth."
Had this been an actual criminal trial, in an actual courtroom, and had Lerner been an actual defendant, then yes, it would not have been permissible for her to testify in her own defense and then refuse cross-examination on Fifth Amendment grounds.
First, unlike in a trial, where she could choose to take the stand or not, Lerner had no choice but to appear before the committee. Second, in a trial there would be a justifiable concern about compromising a judge or jury by providing them with “selective, partial presentation of the facts.” But Congress [or grand jury] is merely pursuing information as part of an investigation, not making a definitive ruling on Lerner’s guilt or innocence."
For the rest of us who aren't public figures given a stage and a megaphone, if we're ever approached by the same goons doing what they're doing to Trump for speaking our minds, civilly disobeying authorities, disregarding attempts to criminalize our speech, censor us, even if it's considered "hate speech" or we're deemed "domestic terrorists" "stochastic terrorists" attacking the "cognitive infrastructure" or using pronouns we perceive and choose to use for others without regard for their pronoun preference, refuse to wear a mask or show vaccine papers, whatever our level of asserting our God-given rights that we were endowed with by our Creator and are enshrined in the US Constitution - no matter how the high priests in black robes have linguistically rewritten it into a document that enshrines collectivist authoritarianism, totalitarianism, if we find ourselves in such a predicament of political persecution we must follow the advice found in this video:
Don't Talk to the Police. Or prosecutors. Or a grand jury. Never, ever, never ever ever, never. Fifth Amendment:

Authorities are not your friends. The US justice system isn't a search for truth or justice. It is about power. The power of authorities over the people. Nothing more.
