From the “what are we doing to our children?” files – a Canadian school goes full woke and tries to remove books printed prior to 2008

Canadian School Purges Books Published Before 2008 In Bid For 'Inclusivity' | ZeroHedge
Referencing this article:
“In a quest to be more "inclusive," a Canadian school board in Mississauga, Ontario has decided to purge its library of all books published before the year 2008.”
Why did they do that?
“The board insists it was following a wider directive from the Minister of Education to make learning resources more inclusive and reflective of the community.”
Presumably, this means that books about child pornography and LBGTQ+ remain on the shelves, no matter what their publication date.
Still, after being caught with his pants down, in some sort of parody y of drag queen story hour for 12 year olds, the Education Minister had this to say:
“Given the mounting backlash, Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce finally weighed in, condemning the practice as "offensive, illogical, and counterintuitive." He has since ordered the board to cease the book removals immediately.”
That’s nice of him.
“Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
Those are all examples of books Reina Takata says she can no longer find in her public high school library in Mississauga, Ont., which she visits on her lunch hour most days.”
“In the spring, Takata says students were told by staff that "if the shelves look emptier right now it's because we have to remove all books [published] prior to 2008."
So, the “book burning” has been going on for 6 months and because a student pointed it out, the Education Minister acted to stop it.
Perhaps this is an isolated incident, but again, it begs the question “who hires the librarians, teachers and administrators who would even consider such a move and what else are they doing>”.
The implications of “opting out” - of seeking informed consent from parents and so allowing school boards to hire “people” to implement extremist “woke” views – are becoming more and more sinister by the day.
These “people” think that kids belong to them and the State, and parents are just a proverbial pain for expecting their kids to get educated without any sexual grooming, injecting with toxins or Marxist indoctrination.

Fahrenheit 451.
These people are not for education, but instead indoctrination.
