From the YCMTSU files – Denver mayor (Dem) cuts city services to pay for 38,000 criminal migrants, begs for Federal aid, whilst seeking to legalize criminal immigration
From here:
Denver announces first round of service reductions to pay for immigrant support | Just The News
Let’s start her with the cuts:
“As part of the reductions, the Denver Motor Vehicle offices will no longer take vehicle registration renewals in person and drivers must complete registrations by mail, online or at kiosks. Five locations will have rotating weekly closures.
Spring recreation programming will be reduced by 25%. Recreation centers will go from operating seven days per week to six and neighborhood centers will be reduce hours of operation.”
Okay, now get this:
“The city also plans to make changes to migrant services provided and decrease the number of newcomers served.”
See that? Th criminals arriving in Denver are “newcomers”. Not undocumented migrants or criminal migrants.
It gets worse:
“In addition to getting more federal financial assistance, Johnston said the federal government allowing work authorization permits to migrants would dramatically help the problem.”
Here’s how Mayor Johnston put it.
“They have asked for nothing but the ability to work and support themselves,” Johnston said. “And employers across the city have asked for nothing but the chance to hire them. And the federal government this week said those folks who want to work in this country cannot be employed by people in this country who want to hire them. That is the crisis.”
Ah. So, criminals that were silent about breaking federal law, arriving in a flood in Denver, is not the crisis, A federal law that prohibits the hiring of criminal immigrants at slave labour rates is the crisis.
Sort of explains why Democratic Party attorneys in cities across the US refuse to prosecute looters, letting criminals out of jail, releasing violent offenders that beat up the police back onto the streets and son on – all to reduce crime and incarceration rates – they ask for nothing – just the ability to freely break the law.
Here are the cuts: Keep in mind that Denver has a population of a little over 700,000.
:” Johnston announced changes to reduce costs at Denver Motor Vehicle offices and the Department of Parks and Recreation during a press conference on Friday. The reductions will save $5 million and Johnston said more cuts will be necessary.”
“In early January, Johnston alerted the City Council the number of migrants arriving in need of services would cost the city approximately $180 million this year. The city pulled $10 million from a contingency fund and $15 million from a remodeling fund, according to information from Johnston’s office.”
Denver has already spent 30 million bucks – and is budgeting for 180 million this year – for a city of 700,000 people.
How many criminal migrants is that for?
“Johnston said Denver officials worked with congressional leaders from both parties, the White House, and several federal agencies to push for action. Denver has supported 38,380 migrants at a cost of more than $42 million during the last few months, according to Johnston's office.”
Ok, spending of 30 million – but costs of 42 million in the last few months and an estimate of 180 million for the year.
Perhaps the cost of those 38,300 is 15 million a month = 180 million a year.
Just at the city population level that works out 4,700 a year per capita for the services that are being switched away from residents and towards the criminals.
State income tax calculator might provide some clues for how much people in Denver Colorado pay in state income taxes.
Colorado State Tax Calculator - Good Calculators
Average annual Denver salary 80,000 bucks here:
Denver, Colorado Salary | PayScale
So, the tax bill – excluding all deductions and welfare programs looks like this.
All before the hidden taxes paid for “renewables” to meet “Net Zero” targets either via direct taxation or subsidies of course! Or via higher food and electricity prices.
There are no local or city taxes in Colorado – it is all collected at the State level.
Colorado state taxes take around 3,000 bucks a year on the average salary of 80,000 buck. That’s for those in the world force, compared to a cost of 4,700 bucks a year PER PERSON in Denver.
Regular readers will recall my estimate of 50,000 bucks a year in direct and another 50,000 bucks in indirect costs per criminal migrant. Maybe most of these costs are incurred at the Federal level by rebating the State and city using Federal debt and taxes. The split is a secret of course and not to be either discussed or publicised.
Makes you wonder how much it would cost to fly back the migrants to the countries of origin.
Let’s take a look at Denver’s finances. Here’s a link to its budget, passed in mid-November 2023.
Denver City Council unanimously passes $1.7 billion budget for 2024 (denver7.com)
Here’s the highlights:
· $80 million towards the creation of home rental and homeownership opportunities
· $29.1 million in funding for rental and utility assistance
· $8.2 million for the hiring of more than 160 new police recruits and an improvement in 911 call response
· $6.2 million toward the Support Team Assisted Response (STAR) mental health program
· $7 million for electric vehicles and charging stations
· $17 million for infrastructure and transit projects including bike lanes and Safe Routes to School.
Around 2,500 bucks per person – compared to that 4,700 annual cost per criminal migrant.
The 180 million a year estimate for criminal migrant costs is bigger than the 150 million bucks in the “highlights”!
You can see how that will end up. I wonder how many more criminal migrants are on the way. But remember, according to Mayor Johnston it is not the fault of the criminals, it is the fault of the politicians in DC.
Here’s the chastising of Congress – first on the attitude of Republicans to a failed bipartisan bill (that is, a bill without sufficient support which failed to pass):
“Johnston said. “They would have rather seen it fail so they could exacerbate these problems, extend the suffering of American people and of newcomers for their own electoral chances in this November.”
And s message for Democrats:
“This was solvable with bipartisan support and we would not be facing these challenges,” Johnston said. “I want to be clear to Denverites: Who is not responsible for this crisis we’re in? The folks who have walked 3,000 miles to get to this city.”
Wait, what? Criminality is a function of distance travelled and criminal migrants broke no laws?
Okay, now on to the begging for Federal aid – which means either another State or city pays for the costs, or the Federal government must borrow the money to add to the 34 trillion mountain of debt already on the books.
“In addition to getting more federal financial assistance, Johnston said the federal government allowing work authorization permits to migrants would dramatically help the problem.”
So, as with New York, Chicago and other cities the screech is “gimme da money” and, of course, throw Americans out of work and make them give up all the facilities they have created over decades of paying tazes – just give it to criminals.
One more story from the YCMTSU files. Remember Portland Oregon?
“Violent crime has surged, open-air drug markets are out of control, homelessness has become widespread, and parts of the metro area have been transformed into a state reminiscent of those found in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
This combination of events has now culminated in what appears to be a public health crisis, with the highly contagious bacteria shigella spreading throughout Portland.
Shigella spreads when one person’s infected poop gets into another person’s mouth through food or water, from objects or surfaces with shigella bacteria on them, or during sex,” Multnomah County said, according to local news outlet KOIN 6, adding, “Shigella spreads very easily. Even a very small amount is enough to make someone sick.”
Lots of images on tweets in that article. Perhaps YCMTSU can be read as “can make” rather than “cannot make”.

Flood the country plan was cooked up in 2015(?) between then VP Biden and Mayorkas, looking to allow those in unstable South American countries to enter the US. Secretary Mayorkas never lays out this plan in Congressional hearings, instead during press conferences. The countries were tagged, the border was to be opened, and the UN was to launder US tax donations, turning these around to their affiliate NGOs in Panama to assist in organizing and transporting these people to the US border. The US State Dept migration dept and HHS also used their funding to help these people enter the country and fly to their destination of choice across the country, without any documentation or identification documents...nice trick, and so far they have pulled this off but they are a burden to a capitalist society. So it appears the next trick is to break US economics with this flood of illegals (the UN uses the word migrants). Looks to me like de-funding the UN might stop the flow, however, it may be the UN agenda 2030 and the unspoken US Executive Branch agenda may be one and the same? Would be nice if someone had time to dig deeper into this.
Here's as far as I got: Mayorkas was born and raised for a time in Cuba, suspect he may see nothing wrong with this program. His recent press conferences are often found on YouTube but not always. The UN plan was set well before 2030 was posted, assume this intentional flood of illegals may be outlined in Agenda 2020? My guess is over the past 3 years, we may already have 1/3 to half of El Salvador and Venezuela inside the US. Whatever the numbers, Senator Rand Paul came out recently with "When Did the US become the Sugar Daddy to the World?". Fairly certain economics of this flood were never understood or addressed, just adding more to the debt to pull down the entire country.
It always comes down to $$. The illegal aliens have no right to be in Denver to begin with. Anyone who hires them needs to be arrested. Those illegals will work for less than you, they'll force your wages down and you'll be out of a job.
