From the YCMTSU files - Would a chimpanzee’s tea party have produced better outcomes for the homeless than California?
An audit has revealed that, after 24 billion bucks in spending, the number of homeless in California has increased from around 150,000 in 2018 to around 180,000 in 2023.
California has around the same population as Canada. The Canadian government spends around 1 trillion bucks a year. California spends California has a State budget of around 311 billion bucks.
Someone else can work out the differences in responsibilities at the State and country levels!
New, of course, the California data does not include spending on upwards of 2 million criminal migrants estimated last November 2023, or the effects of the shutting of the Tezas border and the redirection of Biden’s human trafficking syndicate from Texas to California in the last 6 months.
It is symptomatic of the parlous state of California’s finances in general: It has great difficult with arithmetic.
California audit finds state is broke: $55 billion more owed than available (msn.com)
“(The Center Square) - California just filed its 2021-2022 audited financial statement, 350 days past the filing deadline. In its filing, the state admits that COVID-era unemployment fraud cost the state $29 billion that must be paid back to the federal government, and that in 2022, the state had $256 billion more in liabilities than it had in unrestricted resources.”
A quarter of a trillion “black hole” in its finances. Of course, it is the state of the 20 dollar an hour minimum wage in fast food outlets (40,000 bucks a year) and a push for reparations of 5 million dollars for each black in the state.
But wait, there’s more! Even tapping into “restricted” resources:
“After accounting for restricted resources, such as purpose-specific state trust funds and bonds, the state still owed $55 billion more than it had.”
So, what are the chimpanzees in the zoo of lunatic “woke” morons up to now?

California's Ineffective $24 Billion Homelessness Spending Revealed in Audit - Crystal Clear News
“From 2018 to 2023, more than $24 billion of taxpayer funds were allocated to over 30 homeless and housing programs. However, the state has not managed to provide a reason for the escalating homelessness in certain cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.”
24 billion on the 150,000 to 180,000 homeless = 133,000 to 160,000 EACH for five years – call it 150,000 bucks over five years and 2,500 a month EACH month for 60 months.
A double room for two people in a Los Angeles Motel 6 is around 60 bucks a night each or 1,800 a month and that’s with a big flat screen TV and access to a pool!
Schol report card on the “woke” mob in charge?
“The state must do more to assess the cost-effectiveness of its homelessness programs,” State Auditor Grant Parks concluded. His letter was addressed to Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom and state lawmakers.
The audit examined the cost-effectiveness of five state homeless programs, finding that two housing-related programs were likely cost-effective. However, due to insufficient data, the audit was unable to assess the other three programs.
The audit strongly recommended that the California Interagency Council on Homelessness, the state’s primary homelessness agency, should compile and publicly report the costs and outcomes of taxpayer-funded homelessness programs.”
And the response from the “Interagency Council”?
In response to the audit, the Council agreed with the recommendations overall and pledged to implement “appropriate measures where possible.”
Yeah, right. What they really meant to say is “Look, we know we are incompetent, so it may not be possible – we understand words but have no idea what they mean or what we have to do”.
Now consider this – it costs around 2.500 a month to NOT house the homeless in California, how much does it cost to deal with 2 million criminal migrants and rising fast?
2,500 a month times 2 million = 5 billion a month = 60 billion a year - and that’s just the housing costs. Now factor in food, health, education, translator services, court costs, policing costs, travel, cloths and so on and you can easily double that number.
Which means that California has that approximate 5 billion (24 billion / 5) annual homeless cost PLUS, say, 100 billion a year for criminal migrant trafficking costs. – comparted to - no criminal migrants and taking care of the State’s homeless could have a budget of the total of 105 billion bucks.and a stay in hotels costing thousands of dollars a night – if the human trafficking costs were instead spent on the 150,000 to 180,000 homeless!
Now, where did all those homeless people go that Newsom cleared from the streets of San Francisco ahead oof the visit f President Zi of China?
Why is San Francisco suddenly clean? Biden-Xi summit spurs city to action (yahoo.com)
And where did all those masks go?
Chinese firm will reimburse $247.5 million in controversial mask deal, contract shows (yahoo.com)
AND! How many other deals of a similar nature were struck by Newsom for injection, cleaning fluids, PPE, back handers etc.

California lost billions in COVID-related fraud and is trying to get some back : NPR
Maybe some of the fraudsters were State officials!!!
And Newsom is, supposedly, one of the best the State and Democratic Party has to offer.
California doesn’t just have a magic money tree, it has a magic money forest ad, instead of Robin Hood stealing from the rich to give t the pr, we have Newsom stealing from the or t give to the rich – in an expensive French restaurant.
The chimps would do better just drinking their tea and nothing else.
The socialist/Marxist/communists in the Democratic Party, destroying everything they touch with the rank stench of corruption. Schiff ad Pelosi are applauding.
Now factor in the costs of “green” policies that have resulted in the highest energy prices in the country ad all the other idiot policies subsidizing forests of windmills, plantations of solar panels – already obsolete – plus the water rationing, rolling brown-outs, banning of ICE engines I a few years ad s o and s forth and you have all the hallmarks of the striker 1976-79 at a failed shipyard in Gdansk, prior to Poland’s accession to the EU. Revolution needed!
I wonder who the California equivalent of Lech Walesa, 50 years on.
Onwards!!!
