How the new UK Government, under its Net Zero Minister, Ed Miliband, is mirroring Biden policies in the US – shut down domestic oil and import oil from despotic countries at high prices
From this 18-minute video here:
North Sea oil ban: Lionel Shriver on Labour's net zero madness (youtube.com)
“Columnist Lionel Shriver joins The Spectator's Natasha Feroze to discuss Ed Miliband's plans to ban new licences to drill for oil in the North Sea. They discuss what she makes of the plans, and whether they're a liability for Labour.”
Lionel Shriver is smart. She sees things as they are not as the lunatic, narcissistic, child mind anti-human “greens” see them. She closes on the far higher dangers from micro-plastics that infest every food chai and eco-system on the planet. A woman after my own heart!
The video starts with the new Net Zero IQ Minister Miliband doing a wind dance outside Mansfield – he looks as ridiculous as his policies.
The policy to ban new licenses has no effect on demand, only where the supply comes from. The UK will not switch to “renewables” in the next decade. It is all posturing – “greens” are not interested in reality. Greens have policies that will not lower the temperature of the planet by one iota.
These policies will prevent new licenses for North Sea Oil and may eve be extended to those licenses in the pipeline (sic) for years. Keep in mid there is already a “windfall” (2oilfall>”) tax on North Sea Oil production of 75% that this plonker wants to increase to 78%. Well, soon enough, oil companies will provide a 78% tax on zero revenue, because – as with all socialist plans – businesses will simply shut down and go elsewhere.
A GB energy tour that will jack up electricity prices and, if plans to have carbon free energy in five years are followed, the UK will be subject to rolling black-outs and power shortages from 2030 onwards.
Onwards!!!
Posturing.... all British politicians are taking part in a soap opera with no breaks for expressive dance. No wonder 48% of Brits failed to vote.
Open coal mines--surely we could have developed filtration methods by now, introduce safe mining techniques-after all we built the channel tunnel. Re open steel works, build our own stuff. Even if you accept that Climate change is occurring and man made, end the dependency on China which is opening coal mines at the rate we are closing them.
