Infant Mortality Rate in 2022 increased by 3% compared to prior year declines of around 1% - first increase in 20 years

Maternal complications up, sepsis at birth up, infant mortality up.
“Still early to say if this is a blip or not, more research and analysis needed”
“NEW – CDC Data Shows the Infant Mortality Rate Increased for the First Time in 20 Years in 2022, Experts are Baffled
"This is the first we've seen this rate go up in about two decades. More deep dive and drill down will be needed to understand the reasons...There's a bigger story here tied to maternal health...Maternal health and infant health are intertwined. The data from the CDC actually indicates that maternal complications at birth have also gone up...It's still early, though, to say if this is a blip or is this something larger here at play."
Boston.com covers the story here:
“White and Native American infants, infant boys and babies born at 37 weeks or earlier had significant death rate increases. The CDC’s report, published Wednesday, also noted larger increases for two of the leading causes of infant deaths — maternal complications and bacterial meningitis.
“The U.S. infant mortality rate has been worse than other high-income countries, which experts have attributed to poverty, inadequate prenatal care and other possibilities. But even so, the U.S. rate generally gradually improved because of medical advances and public health efforts.”
Nothing to do with the Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule, right?

U.S Infant Mortality Rate Soars to Record High - Slay News
“The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that America’s infant mortality rate has soared to a record high. The CDC admitted Wednesday the infant mortality rate rose by an alarming 3 percent in 2022. The spike is the first time the infant mortality rate has risen in twenty years.”

U.S. Infant Mortality Rate 1950-2023 | MacroTrends
“Chart and table of the U.S. infant mortality rate from 1950 to 2023. United Nations projections are also included through the year 2100.”
· The current infant mortality rate for U.S. in 2023 is 5.480 deaths per 1000 live births, a 1.21% decline from 2022.
· The infant mortality rate for U.S. in 2022 was 5.547 deaths per 1000 live births, a 1.19% decline from 2021.
· The infant mortality rate for U.S. in 2021 was 5.614 deaths per 1000 live births, a 1.18% decline from 2020.
· The infant mortality rate for U.S. in 2020 was 5.681 deaths per 1000 live births, a 1.17% decline from 2019.
So the latest figures would seem to render UN estimates for 2022 and 2023 invalid. Assuming the other numbers are actual data and not estimates, a 3% increase would represent a very large trend reversal.

Just why do most neglect to point out, "until proved otherwise?"
In a running experiment bereft of ethics and science (no controls, irretrievably skewered results) people (71% of the global populace) appear to consider themselves lab rats?
I looked up the births in the US. The provisional number of births for the United States in 2022 was 3,661,220 according to the CDC. That's 109,836 deaths which is a lot.
