Lessons from Agdam – the aftermath of a 30-year conflict currently under a news blackout - and the ongoing, incremental destruction of Ukraine
A recent photo of Agdam, Azerbeijan,
The conflict in Ukraine is likely to be determined by the establishment of “no-fly” zones by either the NATO backed Ukraine F-16 air force or the Russian air force – a month from now there will be a different narrative. The people of Ukraine at least have not suffered from high altitude bombing of the type last seen at scale, in Viet Nam.
Suffice to say, if Russia air defence systems and its air force do not destroy the 100 or so F-16’s being supplied by NATO and operated from inside or outside Ukraine, Russian manpower and positions will be obliterated – conversely if Russia destroys the 100 or so F-16’s, NATO will have lost a huge fighting force nnd will be humiliated. Maybe Russia will need, as Ukraine has done, to take out the facilities that are accumulating fighter jets and equipment within Poland and Romania, BEFORE they are deployed against Russian forces.
But what of the aftermath of war – whoever wins?
Here are some lessons from Agdam.
Not covered in the mainstream media is the war between two ex-Soviet Union countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan. A war that has lasted 30 years and flared up again at the height of the C19 scamdemic in 2020. It lasted 44 days and was the first to see large scale deployment of drones.
Drones are used extensively in Ukraine – for surveillance and offensive purposes. It does not take much imagination to picture 100,000 or a million ush drones being used to take out all of Taiwan’s military capabilities ahead of an invasion by China. The tactics of war have changed dramatically in the last five years.
The devastation of war in Azerbaijan is being replicated in Ukraine. Incremental advances by Russia or Ukraine along the 700-mile front are preceded by the utter destruction of all buildings and farmland. Mines laid by both sides will take years to clear, after hostilities cease.
The scale of the creation of barren wastelands is already rivalled in western countries with the installation of hundreds of thousands of square miles given over to solar panel plantations and forests of wind turbines. Both destroy the environment and create wastelands that cannot easily be “re-wilded”. Solar panels prevent sunshine and rain from nourishing the soil – that is if they are not destroyed by hail. (Solar panels also stop working above a certain temperature). Forests of wind turbines, on and offshore, eradicate entire species of birds and insects onshore and entire species of fish, whale, shark and dolphin populations as they are built and operated – with deafening noise that baffles the senses of these sea species.
Either through war or “renewables” vast scars are being created across planet Earth.
The ultimate objective of the neo-cans in the US and hence NATO countries is the destruction of Russia as it exists today and the installation of America systems and corporations as the ruling force. Remember, Russia dismantled the Soviet Union and returned eastern Europe to “democracy” getting on for forty years ago. In return, instead of respecting an agreement not to establish pro-NATO forces on the lands given up, the US and NATO did the opposite and created a threat to Russia sovereignty. Remember also that, in happier, recent times, there was talk of Russia joining NATO and the EU!
The neo-cons and Russia haters in the Democratic Party saw this road to peace and prosperity for all as a diversion from their existing methods of diverting western taxes to their own defines interests and wealth.
Sad.
Now we have the prospect of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) and/or a war lasting 30 years with ever more scarring of the fertile land of the planet.
Russia is being backed into a “response” corner. It wants a buffer between NATO forces and its borders. If it loses there will be no such buffer. Recall that ATO has already used Ukraine to attack deep inside Russian land – all the way to Moscow. It has specifically targeted missile and air defence systems in Russia. Russia has hypersonic (nuclear) missiles that could be targeted at all NATO cities - Washington, New York, LA, Paris, Rome, Madrid, London, Berlin, Waraw etc. Russia has spent a lot of time preparing its citizens for a nuclear war. Do any of the western cities have sufficient defences against nuclear missile attacks – at hypersonic speed?
If NATO prevails in Ukraine, it will mean that Russia has been defeated militarily – which leaves Russia just one viable response to prevent further Ukraine and NATO aggression. Perhaps Ukraine would want to establish a buffer zone all along its border with Russia – inside Russia.
Here is a 23-page description of the most recent conflict:
Erickson-the-44-day-war.pdf (army.mil)
“, “The bigger and better equipped Azerbaijani army, backed by Turkey, overwhelmed the smaller and obsolescent Armenian force.”
“… Turkey “sent experienced military advisors to … direct Baku’s War Machine. However, the most pervasive and widely held explanation today asserts that the use of Turkish and Israeli drones was such a tactical game changer that an Azerbaijani victory was preordained.”
Turkey was accused of genocide against Armenians over 100 years ago.
