Mayorkas impeached by the House – first cabinet minister in 150 years – vote 214-213

“The impeachment resolution, introduced by House Republicans, accused Mayorkas of “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” in enforcing border policy and “breach of public trust.”
The resolution was supported by a majority of House Republicans, with three members of the GOP voting against it. All House Democrats voted against the resolution.”
“The impeachment will now move to the Senate, where a trial will be held to determine whether Mayorkas will be convicted and removed from office. It is unclear at this time whether the Senate will vote to convict Mayorkas, as a two-thirds majority is required for conviction.”
So, with a Democratic Party majority in the Senate, the impeachment will not be successful and in the meanwhile Mayorkas continues in his post. Innocent until proven guilty by a two thirds majority in the Senate.

Ted Cruz interviewed Mayorkass on YT, who straight up lied and avoided giving a straight answer to every question Cruz asked. Don't remember which one I watched specifically, but there's a ton of them. I searched "ted cruz interviews mayorkas".
