More from the evolving nasal and oral spray market – this time a replacement for all those vitamin pills – oral spray!
Methods for getting “stuff” into your bloodstream or to prevent “stuff” from getting in are an evolving space. We have seen tobacco products morph into vapes and “inoculation” looking to progress from the needle to the patch to areoles.
Vitamins have been taken in pill from for the longest time. Well there is a new kid on the block.
Oral sprays.
Up front, I have no conflicts of interest, have not used these oral sprays and cannot vouch for their safety over the long term.
From here:
More effective absorption with a pioneering oral vitamin spray (news-medical.net)
“A trial by the Swiss research facility Pharmabase found that, over a twelve-week clinical study, the uptake of vitamin D was 67% faster using an oral spray than using traditional tablets of the same strength. The absorption increased to 127% greater if the individual had insufficient levels to begin with. The National University of Athens looked at a similar comparison over four weeks and found the oral spray to achieve a 52% greater absorption than tablets.”
“Sublingual delivery has been proven as an exceptionally effective and efficient method of supplementation as it relies upon the rich vascular system within the mouth to transport the vitamin directly into the bloodstream." Dr Charles Heard, Cardiff University.
Looks like some serious study and analysis. Here’s a lino to Verve’s website and a couple of zippy promo videos:

““Our increasingly restricted and processed diet combined with a decline in digestive efficiency means that some nutrients are better supplemented via methods alternative to traditional oral means. The key is to find the route into the bloodstream as quickly as possible.”
BetterYou’s oral vitamin spray range (including vitamin D, B12 and Multivit) offers convenience and guaranteed absorption which traditional tablets, capsules and drops (which all rely upon an increasingly inefficient digestive system) simply can’t. An oral spray does not require water to take, does not need to be taken with food and is easy to use on the go. It’s a great option for children and the elderly, who can find tablets difficult to swallow and for women experiencing morning sickness.”
“Whereas traditional supplements require sufficient hydrochloric acid within the stomach to break down the formulation for digestion, oral sprays deliver the formulation directly into the bloodstream via the buccal membrane (inner cheek).”
“Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe,,”
Onwards!

TBH I don’t trust anything not to contain contaminants of God knows what these days, if you know what I mean. ‘They’, not ‘we’, are all in it together for their profit and our risk.
Thanks but no thanks. Liposomal capsules get through the stomach acids, just be sure to get them from a proven reputable source. (FWIW I trust and use only Mercola’s stuff - not a plug, just a fact.)
Regardless, thanks for the info, and here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Peter, and health and prosperity in 2024!
