I was in Ottawa yesterday and can confirm you could barely see the capital through the haze. I love about 3 hours south west of there and even at our house it is thick. Cannot confirm the smell being consistent with a plastic odour. When it first started it smelt like bonfire, there was one instance it smelled chemically but hasn’t since. Maybe my nose is just burnt out. I don’t know.
