First, a little background and a rambling thought ot two.
A few population statistics. Israel 10 million, Iran 80 million. Maybe Ira should contact the UN and its cartel of huma traffickers for advice o how to “invade” Israel with 10 million unarmed Iranians – plus all those living in squalor in the Gaza strip and West Bank – plus all the refugees close by and simply walk into Israel. Would the Israelis slaughter them? What would Ghandi say? Idle thoughts – but clown world has seen similar ludicrous options come to pass.

Iran, Syria AND Iraq!
Back to the SN article:
“UPDATE: As per ABC News, Iranian state television claims that the nuclear facilities near Isfahan are ‘fully safe’ after air defence batteries were fired in the area.”
With the usual complete lack of awareness of themselves and others, the team reporting to resident Biden were caught unawares that Israel might seek to take out the biggest threat to its existence as a nation state – Iran’s nuclear capability!
All words - no substance - as usual.
Israel is not stupid. It knows President Bide is a sock puppet – not eve a lame duck heading for a weekend at Bernie’s. Similarly, the damage done to the reputation f the US as ay kind of power broken after the complete surrender of Afghanistan – with all weapons and billions of cash left behind – and the duplicity of the US in fomenting a crisis in Ukraine -. Biden has rendered the US a “woke”, disrespected and corrupt laughingstock around the world.
Unless and until the world sees the US once more setting an example the rest of the world can once again follow and be inspired by, the US will remain an “untrusted and volatile” actor on the world stage.
That inspiration will be the abandonment of the faux science of “climate change” and “health by toxic injection”.
As far as Israel ad Ira are concerned, let’s see how the detente amongst non-Iran aligned Arab nations develops. Jordan shot down some Iranian projectiles – Russia supplies Syria – which apparently joined in the attack on Israel – Hezbollah in Lebanon = Hamas in Gaza are Shi’a Iranian proxies (who are also expert in shutting down bridges in every city across the US in the last few days,
Maybe for there to be a conflagration in the Middle East – centred on the Iran/Israel conflict, there will also need to be a war between Sunni and Shia Muslim states – with Sunnis in Saudi Arabia siding with Israel being key– maybe prompted by continued attacks by Shia Houthis attacking Saudi Arabia – armed by the Iranians (and Russia). China’s role might be the supply of technology for satellite support, drones, missiles and ballistics.
Potential for peace? All Muslim states want, at least, a Palestinian state with borders returned to 1967. Iran and many (most?) Shia Muslims want to see Israel obliterated.
So, we will wait and see if Iran’s tit for Israel’s tat and Israel’s further tit will prompt yet another tat by Iran – and the degree of exaltation that results.
Israel is 1,500 miles from Iran which has proven it has missiles that can reach Israel – using drones as “robot shields”.
From here:
Explained: What is Iran’s drone and missile capacity as attack launched on Israel | The Independent
“The Arms Control Association says Iran’s short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles include Shahab-1, with an estimated range of 190 miles, the Zolfaghar, with 435 miles; Shahab-3, with 500 to 620 miles, Emad-1, a missile under development with up to 1,240 miles and Sejil, under development, with 930 to 1,550 miles.”
Which means that either any Iranian missiles launched at Israel originated from a nearby country or the Sejil missiles with sufficient range are no longer under development.
“Drone war” is one key factor. Who has the most, cheapest and most expendable?
From here:
Missiles of Israel | Missile Threat (csis.org)
Jericho 2 and its replacement Jericho 3 have sufficient range:
“Jericho 2 is a medium-range, solid-fueled ballistic missile developed and produced by Israel. It is also the basis for Israel’s Shavit satellite launch vehicle. Currently operational, Jericho 2 is expected to be phased out by 2026 and replaced by the Jericho 3
Jericho 3 is a solid-fueled intermediate-range ballistic missile developed and produced by Israel to replace its older Jericho 2 ballistic missiles. It was first tested in 2008, and entered service in 2011.”
Looks a little old – maybe the equivalent these days of the Scud missiles launched by Sadam against Israel and Saudi all those years ago. Israel probably has moved forward somewhat in the last decade!

“The kingdom already has much of the equipment needed to intercept Iranian air attacks, but it needs Washington’s help on reacting more quickly, deterring Tehran, and establishing joint defense networks with other Gulf states.”
Threat to Saudi from Iran as opposed to the now failed nation state of Iraq!

They look evenly matched and well short of Sun Tsu’s maxim of being twice as strong as your enemy to secure victory!
So, barring a clear advantage in the ability of individuals, any conflict will likely be a long drawn-out stalemate. That is, oof curse, barring the intervention of other nations to put a finger on the scales.
