Fani Willis declares that the Georgia State Senate has no jurisdiction over her actions
Speaking of sex workers, Stormy Daniels takes pole position to testify in a Trump trial today
From here:
“The county officials said Friday that they updated a county code in April to close loopholes that allowed Willis to avoid getting county approval before hiring Nathan Wade in November 2021 as special prosecutor in the 2020 presidential election interference case.”
So, Fani’s stage acts when hiring Wade were ethical and financial “loopholes” that evaded approval by Georgia State officials.
“In April, the Fulton County Commission updated its ethics and anti-nepotism policies to cover elected officials like the district attorney.
Under the new rules, all constitutional officers must report any gifts valued at $100 on their financial disclosures. Willis would have been prohibited from having a personal relationship with someone she supervises under the expanded anti-nepotism policy.”
So, because the law did not expressly say “you must report gifts over 100 bucks” all gifts of thousands or millions happened for decades? How about payments in kind, like use of State buildings or State sponsored sporting events? Or gifts from the private sector to State officials for attending/eating/drinking at private events?
“,,, Chairman Bill Cowsert, an Athens Republican, stating last week that the Fulton DA would be subpoenaed if she refused to voluntarily testify.”
“Willis cannot be sanctioned by the Senate committee, but it can subpoena her to turn over evidence and to testify under oath.”
So, late yesterday evening Dirty Fani had this to say:
“Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said Monday that she will not testify before a Georgia Senate committee investigating her on accusations of misconduct while pursuing a felony racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and his allies.”

Here is the “she said, he said”.
Fani Willis:
“Well, first of all I don’t even think they have the authority to subpoena me but they need to learn the law.”
“Fani Willis: I will not appear to do anything that is unlawful. And I have not broken the law in any way. I’ve said it. I’ll say it among these leaders I’m sorry folks these people get pissed off that everybody gets treated equally.”
Fai thinks she is not subject to the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Senate and its committees. Peter Navarro was held in contempt of Congress and is serving 4 months jail time. He will be released on 25 May 2024, presumably if he is not held in contempt again and given a stiffer sentence.
BCOTUS denied Navarro release from prison pending his appeal which was turned down later.
Willis must think that the Federal legal system is not the same as the Georgia State legal system.
“Earlier today, Georgia State Republicans announced that they would issue a subpoena to Fani if she chooses not to testify.”
No subpoena issued yet?

Regarding Fani Willis, I don't know the intricacies of the law but I do know that GOP is always looking for a tit-for-tat accusation when they have numerous members up on charges for illegal behavior. This situation smells of that along with the ongoing attempt to overturn the 2020 election. The GOP has been sore losers for decades while doing nothing for the general public, especially working and poor people who they seem to despise.
