O/T The Cult of Moloch is alive and well in 11-13 year old classrooms – why are movies subject to age suitable content ratings but not books?
I received an email today about reading material available to 11-13 year olds. I usually simply exchange emails where the topic does not necessarily fit the issues I try to address.

"Sexual Excitement" in District 6 Schools (substack.com)
However, in this case, please indulge me in what I think is a further “religious rite” that is part and parcel of the Cult of Moloch that extends all the way up to the alphabet soup of health agencies and through the “draq queen story hour” mentality.
The subject is the content of the book: "Beloved" by Toni Morrison and its availability to 11-13 year old kids.
The District 6 Superintendent, Deidre Pilch, viewed the content of the book and deemed it acceptable for District 6, K-12 school libraries.
Fellow SubStacker took action to appeal the Superintendent’s decision:
“Secretary to the District 6 Board of Education, Ms. Amy Lemon,
In accordance with policy KEC-R and before the given deadline of Mar 21, 2023, I am submitting the following appeal regarding the decision on instructional resources; specifically, the book "Beloved" by Toni Morrison.
I am writing to appeal the decision to maintain the book "Beloved" by Toni Morrison, in our District 6, K-12 school libraries, as it exposes children to pornography. It is a crime for an adult to provide a child with pornography. It's also morally, ethically and spiritually wrong. It also subjects children to trauma. How does one justify exposing children to non-consensual sexual attacks, bestiality and pedophilia? Especially when one could protect them from it?
If you haven't taken the time to at least read the excerpts of concern, you can have them read to you here, in this 4-minute video.
Here's a small sample:
This was the reply:
“Good afternoon,
Your appeal to the Board of Education regarding the superintendent's decision in response to complaints submitted regarding the book Beloved by Toni Morrison is received. The appeal will be considered by the Board within 30 days pursuant to policy KEC-R. Once the hearing has been scheduled, notice will be shared with you and posted on the District 6 Public Concerns/Complaints about Instructional Resources and Teaching Methods website.
Thank you,
Amy Lemon
Executive Assistant to the Superintendent & School Board | Greeley-Evans School District 6”

It is illegal to distribute pornography to minors. In my view, this is pornography and should not be in a children’s library.
To me, by approving this book, the Superintendent is guilty of sexually abusing children.
How many schools across the country are subject to this kind of child abuse by Superintendents like Deidre Pilch?
How did she/he/it get to her position and what schools/colleges educated her to have these views on child abuse?
Onwards!

Can we go back to sane and just get rid of all the people who support this for kids. These are just disturbed sex addicted pedophiles!! Leave our kids alone!
When my daughter was in middle school, everything she read in her language arts classes were smutty. Two titles I recall were Kite Runner and The Bluest Eye (also by Toni Morrison). It seemed like that kind of stuff was all they were offering. I read The Bluest Eye separate from her and was so disgusted at what I read.
I was more on top of it in later years, and when she was to chose periodical articles to read, I chose them for her.
My daughter has always been a good girl. I am sure exposure to this stuff was confusing and gross to her. I remember discussing the contents of these books with her, but I can't remember what I said beyond not agreeing with her having to read things like that for class. However, can you imagine what it is like for a kid immersed in this stuff constantly?
