Keeping in mind “Truth us the first casualty of war”.
From the last few weeks of a three week old “spring offensive” by Ukraine.
On the one hand, we have articles like this, from here:
High Price For Counter Offensive: More Than 13,000 Servicemen Lost Since June 4South Front
Which states:
“According to the data provided by various Russian military and security departments, including the Ministry of Defence, the Russian National Guard corps, the military intelligence sources, losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from June 4 to June 21 included:
246 tanks, including 13 units provided by the West;
595 armored fighting vehicles;
279 artillery guns and mortars, including 48 Western systems;
42 MLRS;
two anti—aircraft missile systems;
10 strike fighters;
4 helicopters;
264 UAVs;
424 vehicles.
And we have opinion tweets like this;
And on the other hand we have this from France 24 (h/t Emily)
“Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin on Wednesday contradicted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s insistence that that there was a “lull” in Ukraine’s counteroffensive, saying in an audio message that “huge chunks” of Ukrainian territory have been regained by its army. Read our liveblog to see how all the day's events unfolded. All times are Paris time (GMT+2).”
The left wing comic shop, the BBC, describes the Wagner Group here:
What is Russia's Wagner Group of mercenaries in Ukraine? - BBC News
"Wagner almost certainly now commands 50,000 fighters in Ukraine and has become a key component of the Ukraine campaign," according to the UK Ministry of Defence.”
From my armchair, I would expect Russia to shortly attack Odessa and link up with Transnistria, as Russian folk there are probably not safe from the CIA installed Ukrainian junta.

Maybe there is too much going on elsewhere for this to become a focus.
This headline is a little worrying.

As you say "Truth us the first casualty of war”.
There are several peaceful solutions-but the powers don't want them-they want power.
I still wouldn't want NATO missiles on my border. Ukraine should be a buffer state-assuming we cant just get on with Russia.
