The bell for global Armageddon of Mutually Assured Destruction is about to strike for the fourth time
NATO is meeting to decide how much of its arsenal it will donate to Ukraine. Much of the tens of billions of dollars already donated has come from the aged inventory of its members – both Russia and its allies and NATO and its allies are busy replacing this (obsolete) donated inventory with shiny new versions.
NATO will not discuss Russia’s motivations for the war – not the CIA sponsored Maidan revolution of 2014, the shelling of eastern Ukraine by the Kiev government prior to the invasion by Russia, the bioweapons labs owned by the CIA, the Biden family corruption ad interference in the prosecution of Hunter Biden or the Nazi tendencies of large swaths of the Ukrainian army and its politicians.
NATO will deal with the current situation, not the cause of it.
“Trial by combat” and the winner is the owner of truth and any moral high ground.
Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world for business, law and order, now it is the scene of the creatin of rubble and massive deaths. Such is the price and consequence of corruption and lies.
It is highly likely that NATO will escalate the conflict by supplying weapons that can strike deep into Russia to attack Russia’s war machine. This will cause the fourth toll of the Armageddon bell (out of 12, so almost half-way to a nuclear holocaust.
Personally, I doubt that even one in twenty people in any country wants a war with Russia and a global nuclear holocaust. Politicians in NATO have no interest in a ceasefire, despite Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban’s efforts to come up with some sort of working ceasefire (he has been to Russia and China recently),
Poland seems to be one of the most belligerent countries, reflecting its proximity to the conflict – but the politicians of all NATO countries are aligned in escalating the conflict to force a Russian withdrawal from all of Ukraine – maybe excluding Crimea – maybe not.
China has sent “anti-terrorist” units into Belarus to take part in joint exercises on the Belarus/Ukraine border. How will China react if the French “advisers” embedded with Ukraine forces deployed on the Belarus border kill or wound members f the People’s Liberation Army?
The conflict does not rely so much on “old fashioned” weapons of war, but on unmanned drones and robots. Slow flying drones (35 mph?) can take down ships, planes, tanks and artillery for a fraction of the cost of traditional weapons. Even machine gun posts can be unmanned these days and made to target any movement before unleashing a torrent of fire - remember the “sentry guns” in the movie “Congo” (mock-up guns – movie released in 1995) or the movie “Aliens” (released in 2014) which, I think were actually real German MG42 machine guns
Are we about to see massive fleet attacks by drones on military facilities, airfields and cities by FPV *First-person view”) – Iran showed the way in recent attacks on Israel – send in a few hundred cheap drones to breach the state of the art “Iron Dome” with missiles following. Imagine a few thousand of these attacking (satellite detected) airfields or concentrations of forces – by both sides – followed by huge missiles to complete the devastation,
Russia has almost completed the destruction of Ukraine’s power grid and switched to bombing targets inside Kiev – hitting two children’s hospitals and killing children, some in intensive care – a huge propaganda fails that western media will use to portray Russia in the worst possible light.
There are eerie parallels between the sequestration of electricity to power the war effort in Ukraine and the possible sequestration of electricity to power server farms for AI and next gen internet activities in the US and elsewhere.
Intense fighting continues all along the 700-mile battle front – how many die in combat a day on both sides? A combined 1,000, with 5,000 severely wounded? How many deployable reserves are now trained to a minimum standard and about to be deployed all along the battle front? 300,000 each?
Who has the best logistics support? NATO or Russia/China/North Korea?
We have a war of attrition. Who will run out of money/raw materials/fuel. Ordinance more rapidly?.
Many NATO countries are pledging permanent support via “security arrangements” such as the UK’s 100-year agreement.
Ukraine and Poland are staging joint air force exercises inside Poland and Poland has gone “Weapons free” on any missile it thinks might be targeted at its territory – even inside Ukraine,
Ukraine is firing missiles deep into Russian territory and there are reports that Russian rail lines between North Korea ad Russia, thousands of kilometres away from Ukraine, are being blown up by Russian “resistance fighters”, hostile to Russia.
There has been little coverage of “dog fights” between fighter jets operated by either Russia or Ukraine. Maybe that will change in the next few days as Ukraine takes delivery of the first f 100 x F-16 fighter jets from NATO countries.

Russia’s latest Mig-35 has not been deployed against Ukraine as yet – maybe they aren’t useful – there are, apparently, just 6 MiG-35’s, Russia had 74 SU-57’s a few years ago and is expected to have close to 300 by 2028.
Both sides have lost thousands of dead and wounded. Manpower is diminishing so autonomous drones, missiles and robots are going to take an ever increasing role. China is, no doubt, learning a lot from their use as it eyes Taiwan and its defence systems. Iran is supplying many drones to Russia, North Korea, lots of shells, China has put its toe in the bloodbath.
As the Chinese curse says “May you live in interesting times”.
Onwards!!!
