While it is tragic that anyone would have conditions so bad that they would risk everything to come to America. If we think about it didn't the pilgrims do the same thing? They risk near certain death to get to a land that was unknown and with unknown dangers to be free from tyrannical rulers. We use the romantic term pilgrims but we were aliens to America. in desperation we came and claimed land and killed the locals when were were threatened, or just wanted the land. History is always viewed in the eye of the beholder. I fault the government for giving these people false hope to risk so much to get to a place where they still live in poverty but is still safer than from where they came. As the present occupying people we have made laws. laws that are for the most part fair, if not applied equally. Because we set the standards to come here they must be met. We restrict people with talent to offer to allow a multitude of unskilled to enter is unwise. we lower the average talent and gorge the land with people that cant contribute to the welfare of the nation. I believe that gov. wants this. Because they are used to government rule their resistance will be much lower. easer to control. Think on this.------------------ I, Grampa

This seems a strikingly obvious next scenario:

In order to legally deport illegal immigrants, the centralised power would need better tracking of all people to determine who is legal and who is illegal.

Spokesperson "OK folks, we've listened to precisely nothing else Peter has called for, but he wants legal deportation, so we're gonna do everything to appease him. Please line up for your digital ID and start using this CBDC. If you have nothing to hide, you won't mind and it will help us solve this border problem...."
