"Injection Winter"

There are many science-fiction novels and movies that deal with the future. None of them portray a happy state of affairs. From novels such as 1984 and Brave New World to movies like Day After (aired in 1983 and quite “ apropos”), 2012, Mad Max, the Book of Eli, Elysium, Idiocracy and Blade Runner (set in 2019), the over-riding theme is post-apocalypse or inevitable misery.

A future of harmony, happiness and plenty is NEVER portrayed, for the simple reason that the imagination of writers is limited by their phobias and sources of depression. Plus of course, people will pay to be horrified and fed “negative vibes”.

Fun fact: 29% of Earth is land mass. Of that 29% humans occupy less than 1% of that area. Of the remaining 28% about 40% is pure wilderness. 14% is true desert and 15% has desert like characteristics. 9% is Antarctica. Humans have not even started building underground cities (“animal, bird, reptile and insect friendly” solar panels and wind farms on top, powering UV lights growing plants below) or undersea cities (Captain Nemo!).

All grounded in a “psyche” that it is the lot of the human race to suffer hardships in a struggle towards death. A dark future is all that beckons. The political and economic evolution of science fiction is not very cheerful at all!

Now that the ridiculous suppression of debate, discovery and innovation has become “de rigeur” across the western world, we are rapidly spiralling into a dystopian world of poverty, disease and suffering the opportunities for a brighter world that is enriched by increasing living standards for the vast majority of people is rapidly diminishing. Time for the last blockbuster disaster movie, whilst people still have enough money to pay to watch it!

This golden opportunity (before the gold mine is exhausted) has a scope that is way beyond second world war and disaster movies and is the last great opportunity to capture billions of dollars from movie goers and tv watchers. A truly catastrophic movie that would make “An Inconvenient Truth” look like an episode from Bewitched.

The Plot

Set five years into the future, two thirds of the global population is dead or is dying from the injection of a slow acting poison by an evil cabal of villains. The movie describes the clean-up and re-birth of the remaining 2.5 billion people facing starvation, disease and conflict for the diminishing food and clean water supplies.

The Key Players

The House of Evil - Dr Swab and his evil side kick, Dr Warfari, Bill De Fences, Tony Fausti, Justin Falsedeau and his evil sidekick Devil-tea Prisonland, George Sauron, Dr Killa of Diezer and Strepp Bankprison of Killerna.

The Survivors – Joe and Jill Dirtdigger, Bugsy “dirty nails” Malone, Iron Man Mcculloch, Jolly Rogers, Jess Tulip, Naomi Fox, the Setting Sun Funeral Company, the Union of Grave Diggers and Oven Operators, the Vigilant Home and Land Protection Company, the House and Vehicle Cannibalization Company, the Mobile Doctors Convoy, the KeepItOn Power Company and, of course, the Retribution Company for the Hunting ad Elimination of Vaccinators and Socialists.
