The upcoming de facto re-nationalisation of Britain – aka national socialism (small s and small n)

It has been less than a week since the voters that swung to the Conservatives 14 years ago, swung to Reform UK and the Liberal Democrats – leaving Labour with the same number of votes as the 2019 election but with a huge Parliamentary majority,

The ejected Conservatives had been swinging left for a long time – taxing and spending their way to a 3 trillion-pound public debt and a current year discal deficit of 112 billion pounds.

I would characterize the emerging persona of the Labour government as a cross between the politics of Bernie Sanders and the IQ of the “Goon” squad led by AOC in the US. It does not bode well.

Ther are significant intractable problems facing the United Kingdom and all NATO countries. Their eyes are far bigger than their wallets. Or rather the wallets of their taxpayers and available credit card limits.

The interest bill alone for the UK is fast approaching 120 billion pounds a year, the need to fund the proxy war with Russia means that all the donated weaponry has to be replaced AND more weaponry is required in case the war escalates. Combine that with the cost of providing cradle t grave care for around 2-3 million economic migrants (illegals) costing upwards of 300 million pounds a year and the vast subsidies and costs associated with the infrastructure necessary to shut down hydrocarbon and build oof of “renewables” AND all the spending plans that socialists think they have a mandate for ad you can see that it won’t be long before Labour has to face a harsh reality.

Maybe Labour intends to overfill and fast track qualifications for illegal migrants into trade schools to get the qualifications to become carpenters, plumbers, electricians, house builders, painters, plaster boarders etc?!? Assuming they have enough of a c of the English language f curse.

The United Kingdom is bankrupt.

Labour intends to build one and a half million homes in the next five years. This doubles the existing home building rat. All up Labour believes it can build the equivalent of 75 Canary Wharfs in the next five years. God luck with that.

“Estimates from the Annual Population Survey show that an average of 2.2 million people worked in the construction industry between 2014 and 2016 accounting for 7% of workers across all industries in the UK.

7% of workers in the construction industry in the UK are EU27 nationals and 3% are non-EU – compared with all other industries in the UK (excluding construction) – 6% EU27 nationals and 4% non-EU nationals.

In London, 28% of construction workers are EU27 nationals and 7% are non-EU nationals; this compares to 13% who are EU27 nationals and 10% non-EU nationals for all other industries in London (excluding construction).

Simplifying things, doubling the activity of the construction sector in order to double the- current rate of house building from 150,000 a year to 300,000 a year for five years requires anther 2 million workers. The vast majority of which will come from the EU. This won’t be cheap ad their home countries will also want their skills,

Socialists seed to control the means of production and distribution with a jackboot - otherwise no-one will do what they want.

It is entirely possible that the UK construction industry will be nationalized. Either directly or by imposing laws and regulations that achieve the same thing – de facto nationalization.

The same logic applies to transportation. A de facto nationalization of railways, airlines, taxis and even cars, and trucks – via regulations and laws. We see this already in London, hidden behind Ultra-Low Emissions Zones and Congestion Charges. It is a short step to rolling this out across the country. It would not surprise me to see cars banned entirely and replaced with “Johnny Cabs” as featured in the movie Total Recall.

Recall also that building cities contributes to global warming and planet destruction while these cities are being built AND create “urban heat islands” once constructed.

Ponders: I wonder how much extra electricity is used now that the existing laws are “travel hostile” plus how much extra electricity is being demanded for the push to the “internet of everything” with all the associated servers etc needed for the ongoing internet revolution. 6G and 7 G anyone? (Images of little robots being dispatched to homes to fix things – including people).

Same goes for telecommunications – including the internet and television. After all, if you have to censor everything that dees not conform to your political viewpoint, you own the space!

The UK already has a national health system. Labour has been screaming about the lack of capacity, reductions in the number of hospital beds, ever increasing waiting lists and so on. Spending on national health has increased from around 50 billion pounds in 2000 to 200 billion no. The UK population in 2000 was 59 million and is now 68 million. So plus 9 million people and plus 150 billion in costs!

Labour will want to either re-open shuttered hospitals or build brand new ones.  Lots of increased funding for England’s 217 “Trusts”.

I would not be surprised if the electricity, oil and gas industries and the national grid) were not nationalized as well – they are already de facto laws and regulations that are, to all intents and purposes, controls the means of production and distribution.

Supermarkets? Probably tempting – regulating what food and in what quantities can be bought. The socialists dream – rationing!

Airlines? Of course. Be a good apparatchik and you might get the chance to travel once every five years!

The mechanism for doing this are being mapped out by the WEF – who Labour and its leader, Starmer, slobber over. You will recall that the WEF has switched its strategic direction to “Public/Private Partnerships” which is a euphemism for fascism (or national socialism governed by the WEF),

But how on earth could Labour achieve its aims even more directly?

Well, those of you who were in the UK when Thatcher sold off the UK’s start assets like British telecom for 50 pence a share will appreciate the reverse logic of socialists to transfer title to the state.

Instead of selling shares to millions of people at 50 pence a pop, each share in, say, BT, is exchanged for a share in a state-owned entity! The only “sweetener” required Is an easily breakable promise to maintain ad grow dividends after inflation.

The banking sector is already so heavily regulated and its participants indistinguishable from each other that the nationalisation of banking is easy. Th mortgage market is ripe for being tilted towards the Labour voting base or its prospective base. After that, who needs the Bank of England! Labour will be tempted to provide 75% mortgages guaranteed by the government with no deposit required and a 1% mortgage rate o the 25% borrowed by its voters or prospective voters.

Food production? Of course – maybe accelerate the switch from beef to bugs and fake meat! Por old dairy, sheep and pig farmers, they are history. Maybe a nationalised agricultural sector will “re-wild” pastures or plant grain crops not just bug plantations!

Defined benefit pension schemes – many of which are in deficit? Nationalize them and bring back all the money they have invested in offshore markets - back to the UK! Maybe 30% of a trillion pounds market. Hey, your country needs you – well it needs your wealth!

Side note – maybe nationalise all the churches, temples, synagogues, mosques etc – dispose of the graves and tombstones and build on that land! Socialists have no ned of God – religion is the opiate of the people remember!

Of course, the currency will dive, and a new Chancellor of the Exchequer will repeat Harld Wilso’s words of the 60’s “This will not affect the pound in your pocket”.

The corollary of all this or even parts of it, will follow the predictable and always repeated path of socialism, national or global, cost over-runs, staff cuts, rising unemployment, inflation and an inevitable economic and societal collapse – for as long as the maxim “we pretend to work and they pretend to pay us” persists.
