Update on the victimisation of the Canadian Truckers Convoy – attempt to dismiss a 290 million dollar lawsuit using anti-SLAPP laws in court today

Several Ottawa people brought a lawsuit against the Truckers AND THEIR DONOR SUPPORTERS

“Included in the defendants lists besides Barber and Lich are Benjamin Dichter, as well as dozens of others. The lawsuit seeks damages against the peaceful protestors for allegedly causing a nuisance. This lawsuit also seeks damages from citizens who donated to the peaceful protest noted the JCCF. “

“In February 2022, the Freedom Convoy leaders were hit with the lawsuit, which originally started at $9.8 million but then ballooned to $290 million. The class-action lawsuit was filed by Ottawa civil servant Zexi Li on February 4, 2022, along with Geoffrey Delaney, Happy Goat Coffee Company, and a local union. It names plaintiffs who have businesses or were working in the city’s downtown core during the Freedom Convoy.  “

Enquiring minds want to know what the turnover of each business in the Ottawa streets occupied by trucks in the middle of winter actually were over the period of the protest AND how much money they took from the truckers and their supporters during the protest. I doubt very much it comes anywhere near 290 million bucks, so this can only be for noise and having to maybe walk round a few trucks.

Interesting how the plaintiffs are seeking access to donations made to the truckers right?

I suspect also that the plaintiffs are avid political supporters of Trudeau – much like the idiot who wandered around with a Nazi flag, which Trudeau then used to accuse the opposition political party of being Nazi’s – and which led to an impassioned riposte from the descendant of a Holocaust survivor on the opposition benches of Parliament!

Check out this little snippet about one of the plaintiffs Zexi Li:

“Li, in February of 2022, had commended Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s refusal to meet the truckers, telling CTV News at the time that the truckers “cannot be negotiated with” and that Ottawa downtown residents “have trauma” and deserve “reparations” for having been disturbed.”

This implies that all protests outside Parliament could face the same legal proceedings! So much for the right to protest in Ottawa – which removes a perfectly legitimate avenue in the democratic process. I wonder why Li is living there? 

I would bet a few bucks that Zexi Li has financial interests that coincide with those of Trudeau via big pharma!

Also from the article there is an update on the other legal proceedings against organizers of the convoy and others:

“Currently, Lich and Barber are on trial in an Ottawa court to argue against Crown charges relating to their involvement with the Freedom Convoy. The trial is now on pause until the new year. 

“The Crown has been trying to prove that Lich and Barber had somehow influenced the protesters’ actions through their words as part of a co-conspiracy. Lich and Barber’s lawyers however reject this notion.  “

Whatever happened to the millions of bucks collected for the truckers via GoFundMe and GiveSendGo? I think GiveSendGo donations in the US were returned, but the GoFundMe donations were seized by Canadian banks on instructions from the Trudeau government? And the stolen funds remain frozen?

It is going to be a long wait for the next Canadian elections in October 2025, unless, of course, a vote of no confidence occurs in the meanwhile as more and more members of Parliament realise that the Trudeau regime has killed hundreds of thousands of Canadians and maimed millions more OF THEIR VOTERS!
