“Moderna on Wednesday said it struck a deal with Chinese officials to research, develop and manufacture messenger RNA medicines in the country, despite rising tensions between the U.S. and China. “
“The Massachusetts-based biotech company signed a memorandum of understanding and a related land collaboration deal to develop drugs that will “be exclusively for the Chinese people” and won’t “be exported,” a Moderna spokesperson told CNBC.
Chinese media outlet Yicai first reported on Tuesday that Moderna was slated to make its first investment in China that could be worth around $1 billion, citing unnamed sources. The outlet also reported that Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel was visiting Shanghai. “

Moderna revenue for the quarter ending March 31, 2023 was $1.862B, a 69.3% decline year-over-year.
Moderna revenue for the twelve months ending March 31, 2023 was $15.059B, a 33.37% decline year-over-year.
Moderna annual revenue for 2022 was $19.263B, a 4.29% increase from 2021.
Moderna annual revenue for 2021 was $18.471B, a 2200.25% increase from 2020.
Moderna annual revenue for 2020 was $0.803B, a 1238.33% increase from 2019.
Unless Moderna can find something else – like injecting livestock, or another pandemic – annual revenues will drop to the 2020 levels of 0.8 billion, for a drop of 96%!
Which would explain is share price performance since a peak of 430 in mid-September 2021 to 122 at yesterday’s close.
Out of interest and not well publicized is the fact that C19 mRNA injections in the US have been administered on, more or less, a strictly 60% Pfizer:40% Moderna basis for a long time.

33 deaths per million doses on VAERS v 83 deaths per million doses for Moderna – (21 d/m VAERS v 35 d/m for Pfizer – JnJ and Janssen are just awful!).
No adjustment made for under-reporting factors (multiply by 40 - (or somewhere between 30 and 100).
Back to the CNBC article, it’s not just Moderna that is collaborating with China.
“Separately on Wednesday, China’s Ministry of Commerce said it held a meeting with some of the world’s leading drugmakers to discuss their business operations in the country.
That includes Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk, Merck, Sanofi and GE HealthCare Technologies. It’s unclear whether Moderna was included in the roundtable discussion.”
Looks like the Chinese have been sucked into the “big pharma” complex.
Amazing how the world is blind to the adverse events of ALL vaccines/injections, or that ZERO vaccines on, for example, the US Child Vaccination Schedule have ever been tested against a placebo or other issues (like chicken pox vaccines are not given to the elderly in most countries because they case shingles).
They should read a few books that explain the other side of the argument.

Even then, there will be no understanding that the choices of politicians to spend tens of trillions of dollars on the useless and harmful response to a respiratory virus no more harmful than seasonal flu – would have provided clean water, sanitary facilities, agricultural infrastructure, education etc to all of the world’s poor and needy.
No more disease and hunger for the 25% of the planet living a life of subsistence and stress - PERMANENTLY SOLVED PROBLEMS - and also removed the need for hundreds of billions on overseas aid by “first world” taxpayers EVERY YEAR.
