It should be obvious to all by now that the so called Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations – as implemented by its organs of the WHO, the IPCC and IOM –do nothing more than create more poverty by inflating energy and food prices – whilst also creating housing shortages in developed countries through the trafficking of people – people who could be working to improve their own countries, rather than stealing welfare benefits in heavily indebted “rich” countries.
I watched a commentary with a friend's 11 year old on the actions of a player in a war game on a PS4 - not playing, just watching a game expert complete a game.
I guess that's one way to learn how to play the game!
“Digital everything”, as you have nicely put it, will require huge energy supply. Which will require even more huge energy transfer and storage solutions - which will also require huge energy supply.
Huge amount of data will require huge media capacity to store this stuff. In duplicate, as a minimum - redundancy is already built into all IT large systems. Redundant systems will require twice as much energy only to keep things running.
Even more huge energy will be required to secure: air conditioning (redundant, or even with multiple redundancy), facility space (construction, maintenance, access control, security, constant surveillance), qualified (redundant) staff. And tons of reports.
Even more energy will be required for the processing of this data. Processing will include input (data collection), conversion (system compatibility), classification and naming, storage and access policies, admin services, and tons of software. Maybe a tiny part of this data will be needed for someone - then more energy will be required to collect and prepare the batch, release it and ensure control over the released data. Even more energy.
Give up your new overpriced, unsellable electric vehicle with the design solutions outdated back at the drawing boards. You will not have time and energy to drive it. Your whole life will be devoted to the production of electricity and playing with fake screen monitoring systems. Fortunately, your life will be short - how long can you handle such a stupid life?
Welcome to the new grave world. Existing for the sake of its own existence on the “as is” principle.
Lots to reflect on here, particularly for younger people most of whom seem oblivious to what's in store for them.

Maybe that's what we are all doing!
There is nothing to worry about.
