Attack of the drones – scorecard – 3 out of 300 hit – Jordan shot down some that overflew – US, UK, French and Israeli jets shot down 99% - Iran says “take that” – the US, UK, EU say “calm dowm"

Celebrations in Tehran following the “attack of the drones” by Iran on Israel. Not quite the equivalent of the damage caused by scud missiles in Israel ad Saudi Arabia by Sadam Hussein of Iraq. decades ago, but just as significant.

For example, the station reports that German has supplied around one third of Israels weapons and the US two thirds. - all weapons used in Gaza. It is also reporting that 30,000 children have been killed in Gaza over the last 6 months since the 7 October 2023 strike on Israel and its invasion of Gaza. The station also reports that the objective is to starve those in Gaza – the statio did not draw a direct parallel with Jews imprisoned in the Warsaw ghetto during World Wafr 2, though the rhetoric reminded me of this.

Does this mean that another war is beginning with NATO and Israel taking o Ira? Not yet, but it is closer than it was by a few yards. Quite the distraction from domestic elections in the West.

One attack on an Iranian consulate in Damascus with 7 dead Iranians = tit, 300 drones launched at Israel from Iran and no casualties (?) = tat.

Iran has stated that its action is over – Biden pledges support for the security of Israel, so do a few others.

The security of both Israel and Iran is now subject to any direct retaliation by Israel or Irania territory.

The other “catalyst for escalation” is the actions of the Houthi who are not known either for restraint or de-escalation – and how they might also act – maybe with more activity in the Straits of Hormuz and actions against Saudi Arabia.

Although it has withdrawn ground forces, Israel continues to attack Gaza with artillery and jets – so no let-up at all especially I the northern part of Gaza.
