Makes you wonder what it will take to inspire mass protests on a much larger scale against “gain of function” research anywhere in the world. Would China, the US, UK, Russia, India, Singapore, Australia and all other governments of countries ever sign a treaty that would BAN such research?

·        Sera from people vaccinated with ZF2001 cross-react and cross-neutralize GX/P2V/2017.

So, there was a treatment – but recent work has created a mutation!

Our previous study indicated that both viruses have the potential to infect humans. Here, we find that CB6 (commercial name etesevimab), a COVID-19 therapeutic monoclonal antibody (MAb) developed by our group, efficiently inhibits GD/1/2019 but not GX/P2V/2017.”
