Hi Peter, yes, Did you see this? Big Tech insures we have only limited views (Google, a triple threat) A good one for you! Dr Robert Epstein - The Theft of the 2024 Election is Happening Now - https://www.bitchute.com/video/0EY6FfKtPSVf/
I suspect that, in the same way that GOOG tries to bias search results, the actual internet surfing habits of the world at large, although higher at election times, do not focus on the politically sensitive.
Prior to Musk, active "tweeters" made up less than 5% of all tweets.
Those, like us, who are actively researching the net for articles on issues such as climate and covid, are the minority - maybe that is growing (fingers crossed) but we are a minority that spend most of their time with this focus.
In other words, GOOG searches are dominated by non-political issues.
GOOG does not create editorial content - bias of search? yes. How important? Personally, I think its search engine is not that powerful an influence.
Note that Epstein said Bing and Yahoo did not bias results. GOOG is not the only game in town.
Studies show that the estimated number of web pages in the Google index is around 30 to 50 billion. However, the internet as a whole is home to trillions of different pages.
Accuracy of results count. Suspect you were not aware that at the onset of the so-called plandemic, all natural health sites were massively demoted on Google - nearly all search results were eventually pushed to page 6 or fell off to who knows where. That anyone would want to get info from the likes of Mayo or Cleveland Clinic for simple health issues, or WEBMD, the mouthpiece of Pharma info, is beyond me. Still in force, if you do not know in advance what health info site you want, Google, now a Pharma company, search results can be deceptive. Years and thousands of pages of prolific natural healers suggestions evaporated (never to be found again?) Google now appears the evil empire of searches, a category they seriously dominate.
In any event, anti-virals were removed from western shelves in March 2020. - not by Google, but by governments. Amazon included. I access several natural remedy sites. tracked down using bing.
maybe google tipped off governments, but it was governments that banned the import of ivermectin for example.
I do accept that Google can be a bad actor. It is a question of degree.

Maybe I am being naive!

I found all that I wanted on Brave and other ISP's.
Google does not control every countries web sites, such as China's, you can find anything you want there and elsewhere - sites like this https://www.made-in-china.com/ or https://m.indiamart.com/
No guarantee of quality of course.

Yeah, am in process of a major update, hope to have Brave b4 end of month.
