From the YCMTSU files - Los Angeles builds a 19-storey apartment block to house the homeless – 278 apartments costing 600,000 each –12 million migrants would cost 7.2 trilion bucks for housing alone
Good news for 278 of LA’s around 47,000 homeless – bad news for everyone else – more debt and taxes. LA spends a million a year in its homeless – around 21,000 bucks each (declared costs anyway). The solution here costs around 11.5 million a year for 278 people = around 40,000 bucks a year – GENIUS!!!!
Combined with the 40,000 annual minimum wage for burger flippers, it seems TPTN have some sort of magic number for all decisions as they lead LA and California to ruin.
From here:
California's Homeless Tower Costs Taxpayers More Than Median Condo Price - Crystal Clear News
“A newly opened high-rise residential tower, designed specifically for the homeless in downtown Los Angeles, has cost taxpayers an astonishing $600,000 per unit.
The 19-story development, named the Weingart Tower, consists of 278 units and is noted as L.A.’s largest permanent support housing project.
The cost of constructing each unit in the high-rise development surpasses the median price of a condominium in Los Angeles, which was assessed at $564,520 at the end of 2023.
The Weingart Tower, a high-rise residential project built to provide shelter for the homeless in Los Angeles, launched operations recently. The cost to build each unit in the tower is a staggering $600,000, a financial obligation shouldered by taxpayers.”
There’s more:
“In addition to offering shelter, the building is also fitted with a whole floor dedicated to case worker offices. It also includes several amenities such as a gym, art room, music room, computer room, and library.”
278 units at 600,000 bucks a piece = a total cost of just shy of 167 million dollars. The interest alone at 5% a yar comes to 8.3 million. A whole floor of case workers? Maybe 20 of them costing 100,000 in salary and benefits every year? Another 2 million a year?
Are all the utility bills covered by the city as well? Presumably healthcare, food stamps are provided/ Maybe another 4,000 bucks a year for 278 people = another million bucks for a total running cost – excluding city taxes (278 x 36 bucks a unit foregone = 10,000 bucks a year?) , building cleaning and maintenance etc would be another 50,000 a year?
Do the apartments come with free cable tv, fridges, washing machines, cookers, furniture etc?
Total 1cost to the city (beyond the 167 million construction costs_ = around 11.5 million bucks a year.
Let’s apply the numbers to the entire homeless population:
State of Homelessness: 2023 Edition - endhomelessness.org
Around 600,000 homeless across the US – there’s that 600,000 number again! So, a cost of 360 billion bucks to house the homeless and around 25 billion a year to health, house, provide utilities and social workers. Compared to the hundreds f billions spent on Ukraine, the trillions spent on renewables and the trillions wasted n the C19 scamdemic, it seems like a very small amount, no?
I wonder why printing 3D houses wasn’t used.
How Much Does a 3D Printed House Cost? - 3D Print Schooling
“So, how much does a 3D printed house cost? The cost of a 3D printed house can vary anywhere from 1,000 to 500,000 USD and above. This variation in pricing is influenced by a variety of factors including material costs, square footage, design, and location among others. The lower price range has the potential to bring a massive shift in the housing market.”
Not that it is directly applicable, but refugee camps cost a lot less. Tents, bed rolls, common cooking, sanitary and laundry facilities would cost a few thousand a year, rather than 40,0000 bucks a year.
Given there are 12 million criminal migrants in the US, o the basis of this decision, the costs of housing alone at 600,000 bucks per person would come to – drum roll – SEVEN POINT TWO TRILLION DOLLARS.
Such is the crass stupidity of socialists. It’s only money and it’s not theirs.

Well of course Peter! Like all other government programs, the illegals issue is just another way for the evil bastards to steal our money.
Homelessness is rarely caused by lack of a housing unit. It can be mental illness, addictions, lack of friends and family, lack of employable skills. temporary bad luck, medical problems.
Are these 278 units intended for short term stays and so high turnover?
Obviously the cost sounds ridiculously high!
