26% of all the children in Glasgow, Scotland's schools do not have English as a first language.

Our cities are changing fast.

I don't see this as a bad thing at all: global cities like London and Glasgow are great precisely because they transcend their history: and anyway, as the more successful citizens head out for the suburbs, this hollows the city centre: there is no shortage of (admittedly) rather basic accommodation available in e.g. tower blocks and tenements. Some of these kids will fail, but many more will succeed, given a chance. And even those who fail will still not go hungry: there is plenty of work in low key, low paid service jobs, and that is generally better than being unemployed or in jail in Uganda, China, Yemen or Afghanistan.

What I see. The world, generally, is beyond a mess, desperate,

failing and WHAT can or SHOULD the people do?

First of all, THEIR COUNTRIES are sure NOT open borders.

USA isn't for people who'd like to live there, Russia is NOT,

China is NOT, S. Korea is NOT.

I can't see many countries open AT ALL.

So, in this way, how is Canada so wealthy, so few problems that

they can break protocol?

They SHOULD be just following the example of the majority

of other countries.

Is this a voting ploy?

I think it is.

If people wanted to immigrate to Canada, they'd BENEFIT Canada,

live in camps WORKING for basic needs, building places in

tough areas to live in.

I'm not into entitlement.

Can't really believe some of this regarding the immigrant adjustment issue. Germany's situation has a lot to do with its attitude towards immigrants. It also has to do with the economy and general politics of the people themselves. I would want to know a lot more about the situation before judging why it works or fails. Canada is a whole other ballgame but the questions are still the same.
