Happy Tunes Peter! One of your recent cross-postings led me down a rabbit hole to this documentary, first aired maybe a year ago: "How Electricity Explains The World - Juice Full Documentary" - - https://youtu.be/oYMXNn56kTo?si=1l9OqcS7RgziIFVv - - Enjoy?? About 1.4 hrs long, for everyone to be aware. Decisions never being made for the people, always benefit corporations and elites these days.

Subtext:

While electricity availability doesn’t guarantee wealth, its absence almost always means poverty. Juice takes viewers to Beirut, Reykjavik, Kolkata, San Juan, Manhattan, and Boulder to tell the human story of electricity and to explain why power equals power. The defining inequality in the world today is the disparity between the electricity rich and the electricity poor. In fact, there are more than 3 billion people on the planet today who are using less electricity than what’s used by an average American refrigerator. Over a three-year period, the Juice team traveled 60,000 miles to gather 40 on-camera interviews with people from seven countries on five continents. Juice shows how electricity explains everything from women’s rights and climate change to Bitcoin mining and indoor marijuana production. Juice explains who has electricity, who’s getting it, and how developing countries all over the world are working to bring their people out of the dark and into the light.

I am thinking that electricity - juice - is a product of fuel. No fuel, no electricity, no telecomms or internet - a subsistence existence.

Mind you I have been to places where they are happy and healthy - in sub-Saharan Africa - where blackboards are still used and kids all have clean uniforms - and people exist with an entirely traditional, non-western culture.

We in the west would call them backward tribal cultures.

After having many conveniences of modern living, are You willing to go backwards? Could see this working for retirees in a temperate climate year round, otherwise difficult to consider during heating and a/c seasons.
