Also, one thing often overlooked in the comparison is that there is a chance that you could live your entire life without being exposed or infected by any pathogen. All vaccines carry risk. You (notwithstanding potential shedding issues) can reduce this risk to zero by choice not chance.
I don't think the thug FDA does anything without the perks or payola.

This is why I QUIT building nuclear fission power plants back in 1975.
