O/T and completely outside my wheelhouse – please post any comments about the extracts below concerning potential serious harms caused by endometrial ablation
Perhaps this is an issue that exists in all countries and there are support groups, medics or legal firms that specialize in these sorts of cases.
I have tried to anonymize the data in order to keep the issue “top down”. Regular readers will know that I have no medical background – or legal qualifications, so I can offer no views or opinions of any substance.
There is no mention of vaccination status, so I am assuming it is unrelated.
The issue is that informed consent of potential harms was not pre-advised.
The case:
Referral was made to another hospital:
There may be conflicts of interest from rewards given to treatment doctors and there may not be. Suffice to say, Novasure has this warning label from Canada.
So, with any help/similar cases/advice/medical opinions/support groups/legal expertise that anyone can pass on, please reply in the comments below.
Many thanks,
Onwards!

I had normal periods until I was about 45, when I began having really heavy periods, so much so that I rarely had a day when I wasn't bleeding. It was awful. We were living in LA at the time and Kaiser Permanente would not give me a hysterectomy. They said that was "Step D" and was a "serious surgery," so I needed to jump through their hoops before they would recommend it. They put me on a pill, and it got worse. I stopped taking it and asked for a hysterectomy. I do not want to have any more children, so I didn't see why they could not just remove the source of my problem. Nope. They put in the Mirena IUD and a month later, I received a bill for $1800. My periods got worse. They recommended an endometrial ablation but could not guarantee that it would solve my problem, so I didn't want to do it. Again I asked for a hysterectomy and was told no. Then, thankfully, we moved to Tennessee. In TN, I saw an OB/GYN once, who referred me to a surgeon. After I explained my history and all that KP had put me through, the surgeon said that a hysterectomy is the ONLY thing that could fix the problems caused by my uterine fibroids. She said any OB/GYN should know this, and they also would have known that none of their "steps" were ever going to work. BUT, rather than help me, they chose to make money on all of their useless procedures, while I suffered, for years. Thank God for an honest surgeon in TN. One more reason I'm glad we escaped CA.
Really sad! Horrible!!!
