Please correct me if I'm not understanding this and have misunderstood this.
When I think about all those individuals -- the trial subjects -- who go through something like this and think science and their fellowman are being served, and then the ones running the trial truncate the study and don't follow through for pertinent data -- it really is an exploitation of the trial subjects on its face.
yes. the participants get paid (presumably) and have the chance to get a potentially life saving injection before everyone else, or, the chance to paly russian roulette!
i have been wondering (without any sensible conclusion) what the "placebo" effect has and whether it is offset by the "injected" effect - especially with the two thirds injected v one third placebo - i guess as long as neither side knows or guesses, there is no "faith healer" impact.
It just occurred to me to wonder -- do placebo subjects ever learn that they received a placebo? At this stage it would be a burden to think one had received a death-inducing injectable if one had not....
in theory - double blind - means under no circumstances to the injectors or the injectees ever know
many of the c19 clinical trials - including this one in turkey of the chines injection were unblinded early - because a lot of the subjects were medics and needed to know.
