Question: If 670 million injections cause 1 million adverse events, how many adverse events would 6.2 billion injections cause? According to reports to VAERS – not 9.6 million but just 600,00
Has anyone got an explanation for this “anomaly”?
A few days ago, I posted this:
All adverse events for manufacturers of US injections must be reported to VAERS. This means that all adverse events from Pfizer and Moderna injections from outside the US must be reported to VAERS ad made public in the US.
To reprise the underlying data:
We have this split between the “Total” reported adverse events and just those for the US are here:
VAERS Summary for COVID-19 Vaccines through 1/26/2024 – VAERS Analysis
We can work out the Total ex-US by subtracting the US from the total = around 600,000.
We need to know the number of doses administered in the US and globally, excluding the US.
US data on injections from here:
COVID-19 vaccine doses administered by manufacturer, United States (ourworldindata.org)
Pfizer claims that it has dispersed 4.6 billion doses globally,
COVID-19 Vaccine Equity | Pfizer
“Since December 2020, nearly 4.6 billion Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines have been shipped to 181 countries, of which more than 1.8 billion have gone to low- and middle-income countries.”
“Shipped” does not mean actually injected, so there is one source for the “anomaly”. Maybe half of those doses went up in smoke.
If we do use that 4.6 billion number and subtract the 400 million doses administered I the US, we get a number of 4.2 billion for the world excluding the US.
My previous article worked out that around 2 billion “World ex-US” doses pf Moderna had been administered.
So, we can construct this table:
This is a broad approximation. Adjustments would need to be made for other injections.
It does not detract from the issue of reporting into US VAERS from outside the US.
650 million Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna injections in the US resulted 1 million reports to VAERS.
6.2 BILLION Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna injections in the World ex-US resulted in just 600,000 reported adverse events.
If the rate of adverse events for 650 million Pfizer and Moderna injections (out of 670 million total) reported to VAERS for the US was scaled to the number of adverse events for the US, there should be 9.5 million adverse events for the world-ex US, not 600,000.
Anyone got any thoughts on why this is out either talked about or a massive scandal of under-reporting?
Of course, the opposite could be true, and the adverse events reported to VAERS for the US could be massively inflated and the 1 million US adverse events should actually be just 100,000 or so, not a million!

I tried to report adverse events to VAERS and finally gave up as it is too complicated. I'm sure that is done for a reason. If many reports are NOT being entered in the US, you can be sure that many more are not being entered in foreign countries.
estimates are anywhere from one in 40 to less than 1 in 100 adverse events actually get reported to VAERS. Study done in early 2000's (before covid) found that 1 person in 38 experienced a significant vax injury and less than 1 in 100 actually got reported to VAERS.
