Substack milestones – 12.9 million views from 10,000 followers and 7,385 subscribers – including 77 paid and 2 founder members plus 868 Ko-fi's !!!
It’s been a little over two years since I launched my SubStack.
I have posted or cross-posted over 4,000 articles and am not the least bit troubled by not getting a dime per view! Haha!
From what I can gather, “followers” don’t get emails of posts.
For those subscribers who prefer not to get articles in their in-box, here’s how you can do this:
Unsubscribe directly from your Substack account 1. Navigate to your Settings page via www.substack.com/settings or select your profile icon and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. 2. Under Subscriptions, click on the publication you'd like to unsubscribe from. 3. On the next page, head to the Notifications section. Click on "Unsubscribe".
My generous readers have made 868 donations via Ko-fi - much appreciated!
I don’t know if these numbers are for “unique” users, but there have been more than 2.8 million “users”!!!

It's commendable. You will be recognized for aligning with the right side of history.
Peter, thanks for sharing your Substack analytics. I've done the same thing with several of my articles. It's interesting to see if the growth and subscriber trends for excellent authors like yourself have changed in recent months. (Mine have in an alarming manner).
I note your percentage of paid subscribers is just a little over 1 percent of your total subscribers. FWIW, Substack writes that authors can expect "five to 10 percent" of subscribers to become "paid." Per my analysis, this percentage is not accurate. Most veteran sites seem to have "2 to 5 percent" paid (or even less).
I wish you had 1,000 paid subscribers - which is the "magic number" that would allow independent writers to make a decent living from Substack.
I routinely read your articles and cross-posts and hope I can upgrade to paid status soon. Thank you very much for your excellent work!
