Tuberculosis watch – 5.4 cases per 100,000 in New York City are carried by illegal immigrants - does not square with the CDC data which may indicate 25-30 cases per 100,000

Open Borders Bringing Contagious Diseases America’s Neighborhoods – Daily Presser
“New York City’s Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan sent a letter to physicians and health-care administrators citywide informing them of the influx of migrants from the southern border—more than 50,000 to New York City alone in the past year—and its potential implications for contagious diseases such as tuberculosis and polio arriving with them into our neighborhoods.”
“The rate of TB cases in New York City at 6.1 cases per 100,000 is more than double the national rate and close to nine out of 10 (88%) are people born outside the United States.
Every neighborhood in the city has reported at least one case, prompting Commissioner Vasan to call on New York to take comprehensive action by providing migrants with necessary healthcare, food and legal services. Unfortunately, no mention was made of protecting the people who already live here.”
Oh right. Let’s spend a bunch more money and increase debt, raise taxes and crowd out NY’ers from their health care facilities, access to food and legal services, right? Surely there must be a need for quarantine camps by now? Maybe empty out a few 5 star hotels rather than building more tent cities or taking over sports fields and school gyms. NYC is no longer a sanctuary city though, so diversity is no longer strength and safe spaces are pretty unsafe now!
No numbers on polio.
For TB, 88% of 6.1 cases = 5.4 cases per 100,000 for New York.
“Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that foreign-born individuals account for 6,009 out of 8,300 cases of tuberculosis nationwide in 2022. Furthermore, Florida has seen a 21% increase in TB since 2020, while Texas border counties have a rate three times higher than the national average.”
How soon before a health emergency is declared? Open question.
Should the 5.4 cases per 100,000 rate for illegal immigrants in NYC be applied to the millions of illegal immigrants that have crossed in the last several years? Let’s check in with the New York times to get their take on numbers.
U.S. Southern Border Crossings Are Higher Than Ever - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
“There were more than 2.4 million apprehensions in the 2023 fiscal year, which ended in September. That tops the previous record, set a year earlier, of more than 2.3 million, according to government data released on Saturday. During the 2021 fiscal year, there were more than 1.7 million apprehensions.”
“The number of migrant arrests outside ports of entry, however, was down by about two million compared with a year ago. This is most likely a result of federal efforts to direct migrants to make an appointment on a government smartphone app and enter the United States through an official port.”
Really? So getaways are down a few million because the human trafficking by Resident Biden via ports of entry is so much easier?
“Just the odd 6.4 million to 30 September fiscal year end dates. At a rate of 5.4 per 100,000 that works out at 346 potential cases of TB in the US.
Something odd about those numbers:
“Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that foreign-born individuals account for 6,009 out of 8,300 cases of tuberculosis nationwide in 2022. Furthermore, Florida has seen a 21% increase in TB since 2020, while Texas border counties have a rate three times higher than the national average.”
8,300 cases nationwide for the US population of 6.4 million (play with the numbers as you see fit) works out at 129.7 per 100,000 not 5.4.. (Not adjusted for the 88% incidence case claimed in NYC).
Here’s a link to a dire warning about “Disease X” being caused by bacteria rather than a virus.
“Pharmaceutical companies and intelligence agencies are currently joining forces in bioweapons research. After months of research, Heiko Schöning is certain: "This time it will be bacteria!" In an interview with Stefan Magnet, he mentions the names of companies and individuals.”

Your instinct are exactly right. There is something huge here and their numbers are wrong. Your numbers are closer to the truth, but still wrong. Let me help you with reading comprehension and math. 6,009 cases among roughly 6.4 million new immigrants is about 94 cases per 100,000 as compared to 2,291 cases among roughly 330 million who have been in the United States for awhile and have a rate of .7 per million. 134 recent immigrants have cases for every 1 established resident having a case.
It's New York, so they deserve it all.
