Victory in Maine for transparency of voter rolls that will assist in preventing election fraud
From here:
You would think that voter rolls would always be a matter of public record – not the votes themselves, just who is allowed to vote.
Not so in Maine.
Well, those seeking to conceal aelction fraud just received a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
“On Monday, the First Circuit Court of Appeals delivered a significant victory to the Public Interest Legal Foundation.
In a landmark case, the Court decreed that Maine’s voter roll is considered a public record under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), thereby prohibiting election officials from concealing this information from the public.”
Hurrah for the judicial branch!
Not the first victory for The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF).
“This case marks the third state that PILF has won access to the voter file under the NVRA. Previous victories were in ILLINOIS and MARYLAND. Additionally, PILF has an ongoing lawsuit in HAWAII to obtain access to the voter file.”
Judicial Watch has done fantastic work cleaning up voter rolls as well. For example, in 2022 it posted this article:
Exclusive: Judicial Watch Uncovers Dirty Voter Rolls, Fights for Election Integrity | Judicial Watch
“In November, Judicial Watch’s election integrity team sent letters to officials in five states warning of apparent serious violations of the National Voter Registration Act.
The NVRA is a critical election integrity measure that directs the states to make “a reasonable effort” to remove from voting rolls “the names of ineligible voters” who have been disqualified from voting due to death or failure to provide notification of change of residence.”
I wonder how many States conceal voter rolls and/or do not maintain them. Alo, I wonder what the split is between red and blue jurisdictions.
