which includes details of the purchase of another 316 million masks
"BYD had to refund $247 million of California’s $495 million down payment in an amendment to the agreement because the company was unable to meet the deadline of getting approval from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to make the N95 masks. California extended the deadline from April 30 to May 31, 2020.
And another provision in the contract showed what appeared to be an exemption from liability if there was a problem with the masks, with language that read, “in no event shall Seller be liable for any consequential, special, incidental, indirect or punitive damages” and that BYD “makes no warranties or representations.”
Good news. I do hope that parents will keep taking their kids out of public schools and go private or home school. Maybe with other parents so the kids have others to play with.
So this was voluntarily decided on by California officialdom. As good as the news is, it fits in all too well with the apparently orchestrated "one step backwards" we're seeing all over the world. The ubiquitousness of the seeming retreats smells like something not so good. These enemies within have planned this out for years and that must have included steps to deal with various levels of resistance. Had a court struck down these plans, it would have been one thing. But to do this without any hard political power marshaled against the totalitarians is a tactic, though I can't say precisely for what. What is for sure, though, is that these power cravers are not in the least deflected from their goals.
Hope springs eternal.
How was this decision made? By Newsome alone or Californian gov't?
Newsom got blanket discretion to spend State money - which he did.

I have similar concerns, the comfort I have is that it is in God's hands now. Will he use individuals to turn things back, he may.
