Typo, Peter...”We do not know if Bobby Kemmdy jr. will be confirmed as the new HHS Secretary”. Kemmdy? Luckily we know who he is. 😊

My question is what public law and appropriations did this grift come from and what were the votes for and against? I need names of our drunkards in the House and Senate and copies of the committee and floor debates links. Got to be some doozie tap dancing to blow our tax dollars this way.

The expenditures are authorised by Congress. So these awards are all "legal".

American Rescue Plan Act: $1.9 trillion bucks - 242 pages

Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act - 1.2 trillion bucks with 1,000 pages

Inflation Reduction Act - $739 billion bucks and 725 pages

2,000 pages covering 3.8 trillion bucks of spending.

Each Act has spending provisions/clauses OUTSIDE the scope of the Acts.

o-one voting will have read the tiniest fraction of their contents - often they are given the contents just a few hours before a vote.

Also, thrre are few if any constraints on over-spending the amounts authorised - budgets from legislation can be "blown" by 50% with little to no consequences.

Damn. What a mafia! Had one local intersection project that I noticed clocked in at $3.2 million. Note. This wasn't an interstate nor federal postal U.S. shield roadway but a local main arterial.

Then not to surprising is..

"The Office of Inspector General (City of Albuquerque) released a 24-page report on Thursday, Jan. 2 alleging improper use of $287,972.77 in COVID-19 pandemic funds from 27 City employees under Mayor Tim Keller's administration intended for Child Care providers."

Oh well, it's only money that we can keep printing. And yes, I did cash the checks sent to me. Had to pay those inflation increased grocery bills, home insurance, auto insurance and property taxes.
