It's also in the cherry-flavored goop the dentists are putting in the mouths of children, which ALL children end up swallowing as well. And get this, it actually DISSOLVES tooth enamel. Great way to assure your kid WILL need much dental work, very shortly here...

Monsters.

It would have been more interesting if you stuck to the lede: US removing dlouride from the water.

I'd like to know how and where they intend to do that.

My understanding is its not possible. There are no known filters capable of filtering flouride. Id love to be wrong and would immediately purchase.

The National Forest Service campground a few hundred acres from my doorstep does not open its gates each year UNTIL new levels of fluoride have been added to all the water sources for the campers to drink and cook from.

We boil all our water that has been extensively charcoal filtered and also passes through "fluoride filters" which are expensive and allegedly don't do much.

From Brave AI

Hydrofluorosilicic acid (HFSA) is the most commonly used additive for water fluoridation in the United States. It is an inexpensive liquid by-product of phosphate fertilizer manufacture, coming in varying strengths (typically 23-25%) and containing a significant amount of water, making shipping expensive.

Sodium fluorosilicate is another compound used for water fluoridation. Its use is mentioned alongside HFSA as a common additive.

So, basically, a by-product of the making of fertilizer. - making fluoride out of the waste.
