I think the same laws will apply in Australia and Canada, not sure about the US. I suspect it would be harder to unplug over there. In Australia there is even a separate common law court that has sprung up.

I smoke and pay 15 pounds a packet for my choice of B&H Gold, my sole vice remaining! Not sure my local supermarket would consent to putting the (WHO mandated) tobacco tax into a trust pending a legal process! 917 pounds for a packt of 20 that costs 2 pounds to make - including profit margin!).
Unplugging is not easy, knowing it might be an option though does make you re-evaluate the abusive relationship we are in. The only way to get the BH tax free would be 3 years in court first. The shop is also aiding and abetting in war crimes by paying the tax at all. If we manage to get the numbers though it is probably the only chance we have to stop all the murdering. A few billion in Trust and even the government might see sense!
Yes. Sadly, mu bet is that this will be an effort that will make the efforts of Sisyphus seem trivial. The vast majority of pople simply wany minimal involvement in any politicial process or moral or legal cause. They are so jaded.
If like me you are sick of being abused by your so called leaders you now have the option to leave the system and it is completely lawful.
In fact by paying taxes you are now funding war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
