I do read a lot of positive stuff about NAC, but Cysteine is involved in excitotoxic damage, can have negative effects on the thyroid and causes inflammation per smart guy ray Peat.
We have been taking it without problems since my husband tested positive for covid in Jan 2021. Might it have something to do with the time of day you took it. We take it at night.
Golly, I wish there was a practitioner around here that subscribed to non-pharma care. There is so much information that we have discovered over the past five years, a lot of it lost from prior years--it's mind boggling!
I fully agree... but "Functional Medicine" physicians and "Naturopaths" have the same sort of problems.
Big Pharma doctors only use drugs for any ailment... but Naturopaths only suggest supplements... which many times are not well-researched and often have both interactions and side effects...
A combination of both might be interesting, but Big Pharma OWNS the AMA, FDA, CDC, NIH, etc... so no dice.
I find that sometimes pharmacists can be better than either... or nurse practitioners...
I would do a LOT of research before taking this stuff... JMHO, but smells of a SCAM.
