Now the best part: take all good and usable food thrown away back from waste bins, recycle what is not any risk to health, and you will cut all costs by another half… Impose huge penalties on all shops for wasting good food or preventing people from taking away “waste” for free, and you will cut all retail costs by another half.
Hunger… set up an international board for real food economy. Take stock of all food left, unsold and unused, every single day - no problem with modern IT systems. Have it all transported to local (state?) centers for classification, allocation and redistribution back into the retail network and/or for humanitarian aid, domestic and foreign.
Ban importing food that can be cultivated locally. No more tomatoes from Portugal in Texas. No more Venezuelan potatoes in the EU. Locally grown food is the best way to improve health AND economy. Overgrown cities? Stop producing useless academic graduates. Abolish useless university programs.
